Please note: This is an online educational lecture by a healthcare professional.
Chris (she/her) is a New Jersey native who has been a practicing physician associate for five years. She is currently providing services for LGBTQ+ folk including primary care, gender affirming hormone therapy, mental health and sexual wellness. Her hobbies include hiking, yoga, song writing and playing keyboard. Her motivation in life is love for all living things. Like a stone thrown into water creates ripples that extend outwards Chris' mission is to radiate love into the collective consciousness. A self-defined seeker of experiences, she found herself connecting to people in ways outside of traditional roles. Becoming informed about alternative lifestyles including the BDSM, fetish and kink communities empowered her to embrace the desire for alternative forms of pleasure. The information she has garnered as a person practicing risk-aware consensual kink has improved all facets of life through the values of communication, honesty and integrity. She is very excited to combine her passion for evidence-based medicine and pleasure for this lecture series.
The SW Survival Guide is a nonprofit organization run by the SW community and its allies providing free access to fundamental and integral information to the SW community. The SW Survival Guide is committed to the belief that life saving information shouldn’t be gatekept and survival shouldn't be a luxury.
The SW Survival Guide’s mission is to provide free resources and access to information, help build community, empower, allow SW to network, foster skill sharing, destigmatize, fill the vacuum of knowledge available to our community and eliminate the disparity between who has access to information due to income. Rather than position ourselves as experts, we work in tandem and collaborate with community members and organizations to ensure that the right information gets to the people who need it.
SW Survival Guide is where we stand together against those who oppress Black, brown, transgender, disabled and other marginalized people and often silenced voices. The SW Survival Guide serves SW, with a focus on the most marginalized; however, SW Survival Guide believes all SW is work and all SWs deserve access to harm reduction tools.
SW Survival Guide also believes strongly in community over competition.
At its core, the SW Survival Guide exists to reduce harm to SWs, which means education and resources must be shared for free to the SW community and its allies. We are committed to SW survival and guidance.
