This class does not require extreme flexibility or strength.
We have loaner ropes if you don't have your own ropes yet. We will also provide mats to tie on, snacks, and water.
Yes. You will need a tying partner to practice with. If you are a switch, pair up with your switch-y friends! You learn the most if you could experience both sides!

Do I need to bring my own rope?
We have loaner ropes if you don't have your own ropes yet. However, it is strongly advised to bring your own.
Do I need a tying partner?
Yes. You will need a tying partner to practice with. If you are a switch, pair up with your switch-y friends! You learn the most if you could experience both sides!
What should I wear?
For Riggers: Anything you feel the most comfortable in. You will feelwarmer than your bottom, so don't put too many layers on!
For bottoms: Tighter clothes are the best. For example tank tops and yoga pants. If you wear bras, please remember to take them off or wear wireless bras for upper body ties.
Will I be able to learn to suspend someone?
No. This class will be groundwork focused.
@Anoxia (they/them) is a switch based out of Chicago, who started in rope in 2015. Over the years, they’ve had the opportunity to study in many different styles with educators in the US, Europe, and Japan. They present classes which go beyond patterns and rote memorization to teach underlying principles relevant to students at any point in their rope journey. Nox also currently serves on the NARIX steering committee. In play, their rope is often intense, creative, dynamic, and charged with emotional sadism.
