Mom's Breathwork Circle September

I invite you to join a small group of mothers, carving time for themselves on a Saturday morning, exploring how to be different in 2023.

After all, we aren’t human DOings, we are human BEings.

Conscious Connected Breathwork can be a powerful healing modality on physical, emotional and spiritual levels.

AND

Sitting in circle with like-hearted humans can be a powerful healing experience on visceral, energetic and relational levels…

Combine the two and the potential for powerful mirroring, witnessing and transformation is abundant!

We are not meant to do this alone!

What to expect?

My intention is to co-create and hold a confidential container that flows with the needs of the group, where mothers feel safe and empowered to feel and express their emotions, share their unique experiences of motherhood, and feel seen and heard by the group. Please be aware that past traumas can be brought into your awareness during breathwork. I will be there as a spaceholder to support your integration during the session. You will have the opportunity to share in a sex-positive, inclusive circle, learn breathwork techniques & be guided on a breathwork journey.

Why am I offering this?

They say raising children takes a village, and I want to be part of bringing back that village with an intentional breathwork circle. The isolation of motherhood can be crippling, I’ve been there.

In my first career, I worked as a Special Educational Needs co-ordinator in Early Year, and eventually ran my own day care. The work I did with my own children and the children in my care was a valuable contribution to their wellbeing and set them a strong foundation to be their fullest selves. I feel this work integrates perfectly with my second career of helping adults be their truest expression of themselves. Allow yourself the space to re-discover and re-parent your inner child and offering them the nourishment needed to live a fulfilling life and to be a more present mom.

How can we guide our child/ren to be their full-selves when we have lost our-selves?

How does breathwork help?

Conscious Connected Breathwork can help rewire neural pathways and support you to BE more YOU. Breathwork supports you to be more present, to break damaging cycles, reactionary patterns, and bad habits. Breathwork can benefit your emotional, physical and mental health, including but not limited to toxin release, boosting your immune system, increasing lung capacity, releasing anxiety & alleviating depression. Bringing more presence to yourself a strengthens your relationship to yourself and with your children and others, and connect you more deeply with your environment.

Who is this for?

Motherhood can look differently for everyone. This space has been created with the intention of holding inclusivity, acceptance and non-judgment at the forefront. Moms of all genders and sexuality are welcome.

Your facilitator

Emerald May (she/her) is a British expat rooting into the land in Portland Oregon, with her family, including her two children aged 16 & 12. Her practical and professional skills from her background in the developmental Psychology field are complimentary to her offerings as a trauma informed S.xological Bodyworker, Embodied Sex Coach and Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator. She alchemises a vast blend of esoteric and scientific modalities to help rewire neural pathways to allow for a deeper connection and harmonious intimacy with self and others.

Like many of us, I am in a life-long symbiotic un-learning around dismantling patriarchal, capitalist, colonial and racist culture and will hold space for you in the best of my ability having awareness of my privileged lived experience. If you feel you need more support prior to the circle or afterwards, please reach out and we can discuss if I am the right person to support you, or I may refer you to someone else.

These sessions are an opportunity to re-connect with yourself, to share support with a community of other mothers, to process emotions, to build resiliency and for 2023 to be different.
