Naked Yoga: Slow Flow/Hold (In-Person Carlsbad, CA)
We all need balance of Yin and Yang in our lives.
If a class has a title it will use that style the most, but often other elements below are combined into special brew I call class!
Starting with a base of Yoga/Dance we mix elements of Yin, Chakras, Slow Flow, Yoga Nidra and Hypnosis to calm and slow down the nervous system. This surrender brings balance and bliss.
Vinyasa Flow
A faster paced yoga or sometimes dance flow that could include poses requiring standing, balance or muscle usage. Using cardio and muscle strength we use this yang style of energy to polarize with the opposite yin slower energy.
Erotic Dance
Where sisters, brothers, or couples gather together in a safe and supportive space to celebrate their goddess energy. Becoming more body positive and confident. We use our inner power to shed inhibitions, both literally and figuratively. Loving ourself.
***THIS CLASS IS NOT NAKED*** If you like, wear something that makes you feel sexy. Bring any dancing props that inspire your creativity. You may take off clothing, but must cover genitals.
Yin yoga
Allows us to unite our mind, body, and spirit in a meditative manner. By holding poses for longer durations (typically 3-5min). We dive deep past the muscle and into the connective tissue and fascia. While increasing flexibility and decreasing stress, it has a multitude of other health benefits.
This restorative style of yoga is preferred to be done sitting or laying down occasionally using props to help release tension, and relax even deeper peaceful state.
Recommended optional props: Yoga blocks (1-2), Blankets, bolsters, yoga strap
Slow Flow
Slow movements lubricate the joints. Combining breath to movement creates a fluid meditative state. Tensing muscles and long hold are often combined with flowing movements to polarize the body.
Chakras
Build the connection between your body, mind, and spirit. They are energy centers that reside along the spine. We work with seven distinct chakras, each corresponding to a specific area of the body that may have stagnant energy causing physical or emotional discomfort. We use yoga poses, affirmations and visualization such as yoga nidra or hypnosis for each chakra to balance our chakra system.
Wall Yoga
The wall is used as a yoga prop. Supporting the body alignment and relaxation. Please make sure you have ample wall space.
Yoga Nidra
Also known as yogic sleep, is a powerful hypnotic-like guided meditation that takes you to a state between asleep and awake accessing the subconscious mind calming the nervous system.
This restorative style of yoga uses optional props while lying down in a resting position.
Recommended optional props: Blanket(s), bolster, pillow or eye pillow.
Hypnotic Yoga
Go deep and surrender into trance. slowing down the physical, energetic, and mental body. Some have spiritual enlightenment or leave feeling relaxed and/or energized. You will be doing yoga poses in a trance state. Some classes will be more sexual in nature (It will be stated).
