Yin yoga allows us to unite our mind, body, and spirit in a meditative manner. By holding poses for longer durations we dive deep past the muscle and into the connective tissue and fascia. Yin yoga increases flexibility, decreases stress, and has a multitude of other health benefits.
This restorative style of yoga is preferred to be done with props in some poses. Props can make the floor come to us where we can relax even deeper peaceful state.
This class tends to use blocks the most. (Blankets, bolsters, straps are optional).
Yin Yoga focuses on deep stretching and holding poses for an extended period, allowing your muscles to release tension and increase flexibility. Combined with the powerful practice of Yoga Nidra, promoting deep relaxation, you'll achieve a state of complete tranquility and inner bliss.
Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, is a powerful hypnotic-like guided meditation that takes you to a state between asleep and awake accessing the subconscious mind.
Some prop options for this practice could include: pillow, blanket(s), eye pillow.
This class is for all levels. No experience required.
