One of the hardest things about non-monogamy can be the sense of isolation in a dominant culture that doesn’t get it. It can be an uphill battle to find spaces where you don’t have to explain yourself, and near impossible to find spaces where everyone else in the room shares your experience.

So! If you’re looking to meet more amazing non-monogamous humans in LA, this speed friending/speed dating night is for you! Whether you’re hoping to find new friends, dates, or other connections—or you just want to enjoy a night out with people who get it— this is a chance to laugh, mingle, and build community.

All genders, gender expressions, sexualities, and ENM styles are encourage to join. We welcome LGBTQ+, trans or non-binary, queer, BIPOC, kinky, polyamorous folks of all kinds.

Here’s what to expect:

• 7:00 PM: grab a drink & settle in!
• 7:20–7:30 PM: intros & instructions (only the fun kind)
• 7:30 - 8:15 PM: facilitated speed friending
• 8:15 PM and on: open mingling + follow up discussion

Please be sure to arrive by 7:20 PM so you can receive the instructions for the speed friending. That said, doors will remain open for the entire length of the event.

So, what’s non-monogamy all about?

Non-monogamy is the practice of having multiple romantic or sexual relationships with the knowledge and consent of everyone involved. For some it’s an identity, for others it’s a lifestyle, and for many, it’s somewhere along that spectrum. No two journeys look the same, and that’s the magic of it. This event is a way to connect with others, share stories, and feel seen in your unique path without anyone telling you “I could never! I’m too jealous!”

Irene Morning, MS (she/her) is a somatic coach, intimacy educator, polyamorous human, and author of the bestselling book, The Polyamory Paradox: Finding Your Confidence in Consensual Non-Monogamy. Through her coaching, workshops, writing, and in-person s::x-positive events, she guides others in creating relationships that truly feel right for them. Irene’s work centers on the belief that prioritizing pleasure is both deeply healing and a gift to our collective well-being.
