Welcome to the Non-Monogamy Discussion Group Vancouver! We will be meeting the THIRD Monday of the month at Cross and Crows Books . Bring your ideas, questions and opinions!
January Topic: Showing Up - Support, Presence, and Care in Non-Monogamous Relationships
Each of us comes to non-monogamy with our own histories, capacities, and needs. Even within the same relationship constellation, our experiences can look very different. When someone we love is going through a breakup, a hard emotional moment, or a period of transition, how we show up can matter just as much as that we show up.
This month, we’ll be talking about support, presence, and care in non-monogamous relationships - for our partners & for ourselves.
Some questions we may explore:
How do we show up for partners without jumping straight into problem-solving mode?
How do we ask for - and communicate - the kind of support we need?
What gets in the way of receiving care or naming our needs clearly?
How do we balance supporting others while also taking care of ourselves?
This discussion is an invitation to reflect on how we show up, how we ask for care, and how we can build more intentional, compassionate support practices in our non-monogamous lives.
