North Bay Babble On: From Brat to Caretaker: Exploring Kink Archetypes

Are you the one stirring up trouble… or the one quietly holding it all together? The tease, the tamer, the nurturer, the menace? This month’s Babble On is all about kink archetypes—the roles, energies, and identities we slip into (or fully embody) when we play.

From brats to caretakers, sadists to service subs, primal hunters to rope nerds to full-blown chaos gremlins—we’ll explore the patterns people recognize in themselves and others. Are these fixed identities, or just flavors we move through depending on mood, partner, or context? Who brings it out of you? And what makes certain archetypes feel like home?

We’ll get into:

– What archetypes you resonate with (and which ones you absolutely don’t)

– How archetypes show up in scenes vs. relationships

– The difference between identity, role, and vibe

– Why certain pairings just work (and others… really don’t)

– How your archetype has evolved over time

Come ready to claim your type, question it, expand it—or discover one you didn’t know you had. Whether you’re a proud brat, a soft dom, a sadist with a heart of gold, or still figuring it out, this is a space to explore the many ways we show up in the scene.

Because sometimes the hottest question isn’t “what are you into?”—it’s “who are you when you play?”

Come on out, bring your questions, and talk about the stuff. Get some great new ideas, and let's build community together!

The first Tuesday of every month. It's ok to come at any time during the meeting. I mean, like come into the room...
