Plura

Olympia Rope Community: 1st Gathering!

Who

This event is for anyone 18+ interested in playing with rope and/or building rope community in Olympia. To center queer and femme experiences and help us feel safe(r), cis/het men are welcome as bottoms (being tied) or self-tiers, but not as tops (tying others). If you identify as queer, you’re queer enough.

Community Values

We’re creating a community that is:

  1. Queer- and femme-led
  2. LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent-friendly
  3. Body-positive
  4. Consent-forward
  5. Safety-conscious

We also aim to uplift other marginalized voices (e.g., BIPOC, disabled) when folks step forward to help guide us. Rope is for every body.

What

A first rope gathering to meet each other, set consent expectations, welcome newbies with an intro to rope, hold space for casual peer-to-peer skill-sharing, and for those motivated, share visions for the future of the group.

This is a social and educational space, not a play party:

🚫 No nudity

🚫 No sexual activity

🚫 No scening

Floorwork only (no suspension points).

Cost

Sliding scale / pay-what-you-can ($0–30 recommended, cash preferred).

What to Wear & Bring

  1. Comfortable, movement-friendly clothes (snug athletic wear is ideal for being tied)
  2. Water bottle
  3. Rope, if you have it (not required -- I'll have extra you can borrow)

Contact

No tickets needed, but please RSVP here or on the FetLife event!
