Open Relationship Community Potluck & Discussion

Connect with non monogamous community in the south bay over a shared potluck meal and conversation.

Come share stories, build connections, and meet new friends in a welcoming space centered on ethical non-monogamy, non-traditional relationships, and open-hearted community.

This community values consent, honesty, authenticity, vulnerability, kindness, and accountability. You don’t have to be dating or non-monogamous to attend—if our values resonate with you, you are invited to attend.

OPEN COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

By attending this event, you agree to read and abide by these community guidelines.

DIVERSITY 🌈

  1. Expect to encounter a variety of relationship styles, orientations, gender expressions, and life experiences. Comfort levels around touch, storytelling, and boundaries will vary.
  2. You are invited to be curious—ask questions, listen, and learn what “living authentically” means to each person.

CONSENT ✅

  1. Check in and ask for consent before initiating physical contact or explicit conversation.
  2. A “yes” means yes. A “no,” silence, “maybe,” or hesitation means no.
  3. When in doubt, check in. If the answer isn’t clear, pause or don’t proceed.

PHYSICAL CONSENT 🤝

  1. Always ask before entering someone’s personal space (hugging, cuddling, etc).
  2. Affection between consenting adults is welcome—but only with clear consent.

EXPLICIT CONVERSATION 💬

  1. Ask before sharing explicit content (sex, kink, or BDSM).
  2. If not everyone within hearing range gives a clear and enthusiastic yes, take the conversation elsewhere. (What feels casual to you may feel intense or uncomfortable to someone else)

CONFIDENTIALITY 🤫

  1. Everything shared in this group should be treated as confidential and private.
  2. Do not share stories that name others without their permission.
  3. Do not greet people outside this group in a way that could out them.
  4. Do not take or share photos/videos without the clear consent of everyone who would be photographed.

HOLDING SPACE FOR EACH OTHER 🤗

  1. You are invited (but not required) to hold space for each other—and yourself.
  2. Holding space means letting people exist as they are, without assumptions, judgment, unwanted advice, or pressure to fix anything.
  3. You are invited to listen with empathy, and be present.

DISCUSSION TOPIC

Topic Option #1: Living Authentically

Living Authentically

What does it mean to you to live authentically — and what helps you feel most like yourself?

Where, or with whom, do you feel most connected to your authentic self?

How does it feel, in your body or heart, when you’re expressing your authentic self?

How have you grown — in the past year, or since starting your ENM journey — and how do you hope to keep growing?

Topic Option #2: Authenticity, Consideration, and Finding the Balance

How do you stay true to yourself while also being mindful of others’ boundaries and comfort?

What helps people with different sharing styles — from open-book to private — connect and hold space for each other?

How do you stay connected in community when you share some things in common but not everything?

POTLUCK FOOD

This is a dinnertime potluck—please bring food or drinks to share. Home-cooked or takeout is welcome. Gluten-free and low-sugar options are often appreciated, and wholesome, filling dishes are always a great choice. Please write in the plura chat what you will be bringing.

PARKING

Street parking. Temporarily hovering in the far left driveway spot is allowed for drop offs, otherwise park on the street.

DRINKING/SMOKING

No smoking or vaping anywhere on the property. Cannabis products can be used in moderation, the designated area for smoking cannabis is outside the kitchen in the left hand quadrant of the back yard. For tobacco please take a walk, the smell makes Rose nauseated. Alcohol is BYOB and should be consumed responsibly and in moderation, as it is not the focus of the event.

DONATION TICKETS

This event has free or donation style tickets, for logistics with this location. Suggested donation is $10.
