Join us for an intimate performance night with 縄師 神凪 Nawashi Akechi Kanna (X-gender, all pronouns) and 神楽 Akechi Kagura (she/her), a queer Japanese rope couple who have been performing and teaching together for over 14 years.

Kanna-ryū is a semenawa-informed style of kinbaku rooted in the legacy of 明智伝鬼 Akechi Denki and refined through years of study, innovation, and performance. Their rope is known for its technical excellence - clean lines, masterful tension, and complete bodily control - and for its emotional depth, drawing inspiration from hojojutsu, breath control, and deliberate objectification.

Together, Kanna and Kagura create immersive performances that evoke tension, tenderness, and transformation. Their dynamic is one of deep trust, profound care, and extraordinary skill. Whether you are a seasoned rope practitioner or simply curious, this is a rare chance to witness world-class kinbaku in an intimate, intentional setting.
