The chaos we're watching unfold—federal agents rampaging through neighborhoods terrorizing and killing people; communities under siege, people isolated and afraid—didn't start yesterday. What we're experiencing are the logical outcomes of systems designed to keep us separated, manageable, and desperate for connection in all the wrong places.
In about two weeks, the media will shift into Valentine's Day overdrive—pretending everything is normal, selling you flowers and chocolate while people are being hunted in the streets. This is how capitalism functions: convince you to spend money performing love while actual violence gets normalized as background noise. The romantic-industrial complex needs you focused on proving you're 'enough' for a partner instead of building the networks that could actually resist this terror.
When systems of oppression escalate, they rely on our isolation. They need us too scattered to organize, too depleted to resist, too convinced of our own powerlessness to build alternatives. Compulsory monogamy culture has always been part of that toolkit—keep you focused on one romantic partner meeting all your needs, pulls you away from extended networks of care, makes you too lonely to organize and too busy performing partnership to build collective structures of resistance.
This is how they keep us manageable.
Pleasure As Praxis is a group masturbation ritual happening February 13th, where we practice the erotic autonomy that systems of control can't tolerate.
When you can give yourself pleasure without requiring external validation or permission, you become harder to manipulate. A body that knows its own desire doesn't need to buy flowers to prove its worth. A body that trusts its own authority can say no to extraction and yes to what actually serves liberation.
Masturbation becomes praxis when it's done with political intention: as relationship & foundational sovereignty work.
This is Oshun's work: sweetness that starts in your own body, warrior energy that fights the constructs blocking our joy.
Investment: Garden Tier $35 | Meadow Tier $55 | Savanna Tier $75
When: February 13, 6pm PST
First Step: Schedule your vibe check (our velvet rope against the T.R.A.S.H.)
The myth of individualism is killing us. But a community of people reclaiming self-sourced pleasure as resistance? That's the collective capacity to imagine different structures of care.
They need us isolated and desperate. Let's practice something else.

M'kali-Hashiki is a Griot & Eromancer who tends the erotic as a current of healing, connection, and transformation. A former social justice organizer who spent a decade in the nonprofit world learning at the feet of radical thinkers, she now weaves together nearly two decades of somatic training—including certifications in Sexological Bodywork, Sound Healing, and Sacred Intimacy—with the political understanding that reclaiming erotic energy is an act of resistance. As a fat, Black, queer, polyamorous Scorpio and burn/rape/CSA survivor with decades of PTSD, her work is informed by lived experience of struggling to love herself in a world that hates all her identities. She understands that we can't build the world we deserve while disconnected from the source of our power.
