Pick Your Battles: ADHD on Both Sides of the Slash with Etoile DC & Sasquatch

Have you seen the hot erotica with a dominant who never wavers in their expectations, and who administers loving discipline in a precise manner? Or maybe the porn that shows a devoted submissive who has their dominant’s favorite beverage waiting the instant they walk in the door? Sure, fiction is hot… but in the real world, ADHD can throw a wrench into remembering to get that drink started on time, or even that a rule you’ve had for years exists in the first place. When both sides of the slash have ADHD, it’s essential to figure out what’s really important in your relationship, so you can achieve excellence as much as possible and have grace for the rest of the time. This class explores real-world scenarios to make this bumpy path a little smoother, because nobody can get through it alone.

The class will be held on Zoom. The waiting room opens 15 minutes early at 6:45PM. Instruction begins at 7PM.

About the Instructors

EtoileDC (she/they) has been practicing kink since 2000 and in and out of the public scene for about that long. She is queer in every way you can think of. They are a masochist who enjoys playing with the edges of sadism and silliness, and they are owned Property with a strong service orientation. Leather is an integral part of her identity, and she also identifies as deaf and neurodivergent. In addition to serving as the director of the Gateway program for Black Rose in Washington DC, they have won several awards as a pony handler, and teach history of sexuality at the university level. Sas (he/him) has been a volunteer in DC's public scene since 2000. He is a neurospicy queer who delights in play in all its variants, and continues to be honored by being Owner to his beloved Property. She also serves as handler for his pony side ("Puck") and they have received several awards for their obvious deep connection and pattern of "What can we do to top last year's performance?" This fall will mark the beginning of Sas's 19th year of presenting on kink topics and, when not teaching, he serves as staff at The Crucible, and Black Rose, having received Membership Service Award in 2019 from the latter. Sas is looking forward to having free time to play nerdy board games after several years of focusing on finally getting his college degree.
