Demystifying Asexuality w/ Nyx Lunaea (Online)

What the heck even is asexuality? And what about aromanticism? I’m glad you asked! This workshop unpacks the wide, colorful spectrum of asexual and aromantic identities, beyond the myths, misunderstandings, and assumptions.

We’ll explore the many shades of grey in the ace and aro communities, from demisexual to gray-romantic and everything in between. Together, we’ll discuss how these identities can show up in a kinky context, including ways that ace and aro folks navigate desire, connection, play, and power exchange.

If you’re ace, questioning, or just want to better understand and support your ace and aro friends, this class offers insight, language, and real talk about what it means to experience (or not experience) attraction while still finding fulfillment and joy in kink.

About the Instructor

Nyx Lunaea (they/them) is a non-binary, queer, asexual, greyromantic,l disabled human who has been in the BDSM lifestyle since 2009, and has been in their current dynamic since 2012. They are an extrovert, a lover of pointy things, tattoo collector, painter, gardener, RPG fiend, and are a part-time dog. Nyx gives many a heck about inclusivity, accessibility, the BDSM lifestyle, and making the world a better place! They are enthusiastic about teaching others about the importance of consent, LGBTQIA+ info, and safer sex practices. They believe that it is important to always be learning, and always growing!
