VoxBody is thrilled to welcome RopeTales (Italy) for a weekend of intense semenawa explorations! Join us Friday evening for a predicaments class - WITHOUT - the gote!
Traditional semenawa is nowadays very linked with the TK harness. Among the traditional harnesses, it is probably the most practical for semenawa suspension sessions. However, if we open ourselves to the possibilities of floor based predicaments and partial suspensions, we actually see many other options were popular in the early stages of the development of Japanese bondage.
During this workshop, guided by Kirigami and Tenshiko (aka RopeTales), we will explore the concept of predicament and apply it to different ties without the gote (TK).
Predicament ties are geared towards drawing an impressive amount of the bottom’s stamina in a comparatively short amount of time. We will discuss how this very challenging physical stimulation can help accessing deeply emotional states of mind.
While partial suspensions mitigate some of the risks of a full suspension, please consider these ties are semenawa oriented. They can easily be as challenging as full suspensions or even moreso.
Content warning! RopeTales will be exploring semenawa concepts with us throughout the weekend.
If you are unfamiliar with the concept, we urge you to do some research before registering, and make sure this topic is of interest to you.
This approach to rope intentionally explores 'tormenting' rope, and sustaining / suffering physically and emotionally challenging situations in ties.
Prerequisites for tops: Smooth and safe suspension lines management. Confidence in partial suspension sessions.
Prerequisites for bottoms: Understanding the difference between comfortable and sustainable, and willingness to explore both. Ability to self monitor nerve compression and bloodflow restriction. Confidence in partial suspension sessions.
About the presenters:
Kirigami and Tenshiko are a couple both in ropes and in life. They have been teaching and performing in different European cities since 2012. In 2016 they opened School of Rope Milano, where they teach traditional bondage three times a week to local students and foreign visitors.
In 2023 they started a collaboration with Sugiura Norio Sensei, involving the organization of an international workshop, as well as the production and distribution of photographic contents, both online and on printed editions. In the same year they were invited to teach in Latin America and Australia.
Their rope is inspired by the most traditional Japanese style bondage, with an eclectic approach encompassing both private sessioning and photography.
