Plura

Primal Munch

A chill hangout for SF Bay packmates and all those into or interested in primal play.

So what is primal anyway? Biting, wresting, howling, nuzzling, snuggling, and that’s just scratching the surface. Primal is instinctive and often nonverbal; sometimes it means playing with nonhuman animal archetypes, sometimes it means leaning into the more animal parts of being human. Somewhere on the same Venn diagram as pet players and furries, but a bit more feral and a lot more rough-and-tumble; primal can be an occasional play-style, a favorite kink, a lifestyle, or even an identity. If you ask ten primals you’ll get at least ten answers, and this munch is your chance to do just that! The primal munch is well-attended by regular attendees of Pack Night, and is a great opportunity to hear a variety of perspectives on the group primal experience of the Pack. Important safety and negotiation info is also available to empower everyone to protect themselves and self-advocate in private dynamics and in events put on by non-primal-centric groups.

You can spot us by the big sign that says “Primal Munch”!

Munch leader: Avery (they/them in the human world and it/its when in primal headspace) is a neuroqueer primal shapeshifter. An enthusiastic part of the SF Bay Pack since its in-person reemergence after the COVID-19 lockdown, Avery is grateful to have the opportunity and capacity to help sustain it as a space for others. They are driven by a passionate belief in the restorative and fortifying powers of accessible trauma-informed kink. Avery can be found @lemonbodyhorror on most platforms.
