Quartz: Queer Arts Dance Day & Makers Market

Our creative queer community is getting dancy! With Dj's, a dance lesson, & 50+ lgbtq vendors to shop from there is something for everyone!

Quartz is your creative queer community space! Hosted in the beautiful gardens of permaculture site and artist co-op PLACE Community our 50+ lgbtq monthly makers have crafted a vision you need to get in on <3

Turning the large "barn" space into dance space from 1-5pm we'll have dj's priming the crowd with house music, afrobeats, & rnb. A free community drop in dance lesson @2pm will teach the basics of fusion dance in a way thats accesible to all levels of dance skills. Fusion dance is a partnered dance style that doesnt require any knowledge of specific steps and can be danced to any style of music. So bring a partner or come solo and learn then use your new found skills to connect and groove the rest of the day away.

While our dance swings and sways inside our vibrant vendor market bustles outside! The beautiful garden atmosphere is the perfect place to peruse our 50+ queer creatives work. From stunning stickers, edgy zines, leatherwork, upcycled fashion, candles, prints, ceramics, incense, tarot, astrology, and human design readings & so much more! Everything is crafted intentionally by local small-business owners, some seasoned, some just getting their start. We love to support artists at every stage of thier journey here at quartz, as well as provide options for every budget. So come pick yourself up something special and connect with people following thier passions boldly and proudly!

All ages are invited to attend and pets are welcome at the venue!

Masks required (available for free at front enterance if you froegt yours!)to keep our event accessible for our covid-cautious and immonocomprimized attendees and vendors>
