Looking for more queer friends, dates & other connections? Or just want to do more fun things in SF? Plura is running Queer women's speed dating event!

This event is for anyone who identifies as a woman, as well as nonbinary and genderqueer beings who are comfortable in a space that centers around the experiences of queer women. Come out and call in the connections we long for - whether thatā€™s queer friends, crushes, or someone to U-haul with.

Program:

7 pm - Doors Open

7:15 - Host Intro & Instructions

7:30-8:30 - Facilitated Speed Friending/Dating

8:30 and on - Open Mingling

This is a safe(r), non-sexual environment, where folx can build community and/or get your flirt on responsibly and respectfully. Transphobia/transmission and binarism arenā€™t tolerated at these events.

About Your Host

JessJess (she/her, poly and pan/bi) has been organizing and hosting a variety of events in the Bay Area for close to a decade. She has a strong belief in the power of connection, she thrives on fostering engagement, encouraging dialogue, and creating a welcoming inclusive atmosphere that brings people together.Ā 

She runsĀ Beyond the Rainbow EventsĀ which is a welcoming and enjoyable environment to socialize, play, connect, and explore. She isĀ Bonobo Networkā€™s Community Manager, a community rooted in real-world and virtual events where people learn together ā€“ and from one another ā€“ about sexuality, pleasure, and relationships. Bonobo Network hostsĀ QueergasmĀ a play party series for queers by queers. Beyond that role, you can find her as a regular host and house manager atĀ Mission ControlĀ hosting events such as Peek, Kinky Karaoke, Threshold and Pink. An event lead in forLove, a community of pleasure activists, technologists, and erotic experience architects, dedicated to safely and equitably spreading sex-positive culture. These are just some of the communities JessJess works with, she is committed to creating spaces where everyone can feel valued, respected, and appreciated.
