RED… away from the cis-male gaze

Red is open exclusively to queer guests who identify as women and/or trans*

What is red to you? The color of passion, the heat of fire. Blood, the liquid life force in us all. Dig deeper and you’ll uncover even more. Do you see red paisley and think of plunging your fist deep inside a greedy and hungry hole? Does it scream CODE RED….where sensuality and sex collide? You’re only limited by your own imagination.

Slide into Pride!

Join us for an evening centering queer women and trans* folks from across the spectrum to kick off our Pride month and set the pace for 2025’s Pride in SF season, where we go back to our roots as sexual outlaws. Slip into our red-lit back alley, fill our walls with gyrating sweaty bodies as we dance to sexy beats provided by DJ Sucia, then dive down below into the underbelly where you can lose yourself in the sounds of pleasure and pain.

Red…. an evening to satiate your hunger, in whatever form it growls from within you. Sleaze, debauchery, perversion, exquisite agony... Only you get to choose your own adventure.

Red is open exclusively to queer guests who identify as women and/or trans.*

Red... Will Feature:

  1. Experienced house tops that can give you a taste of your heart’s desire.
  2. The ambience of a grimy back alley with the luxuries of a vibrant dungeon playspace with hardpoints, St. Andrew crosses, massage tables, spanking benches, cages and so much more.
  3. Live DJ Sucia cultivating the energy that will urge your body to move.
  4. Social space with ice-breakers to help you connect with new people.
  5. Stickers, nametags, and wristband system to facilitate connections.
  6. Sensual room for erotic play.
  7. Cozy cuddle room for aftercare, pre-care, and non-sexual intimate touch.
  8. Delectable bites to fuel your body as you dance, play, or fuck the night away.

Embracing Diversity in Every Form

Though our events are celebrations of humanity in all its forms, a space where age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and abilities blend seamlessly together, this party is designed to be an opportunity for all those who self-identify as queer women or queer trans* people to exclusively come together in a space just for them. We are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone can feel safe, respected, and celebrated. Your unique identity and experiences enrich our community, and we look forward to sharing this special experience with you.

The Venue

RED will take place at Stopgap in San Francisco. The exact address will be shared with ticket holders. For planning purposes, it is a 10 minute walk from the UN Plaza/Civic Center BART station.

Stopgap is the newest and oldest kink venue in San Francisco! While a new venue in its current iteration, the two floor building itself has a rich history in the kink community as one of the prior locations of the SF Citadel. It features a large and fully equipped dungeon playspace with equipment from the Citadel that has been restored plus much of AfterDark's own equipment. Stopgap provides safety and hygiene supplies, clean sheets, and more, elevating kink experiences for guests and offers turnkey solutions to organizers, content-producers, and others.

Stopgap has social areas, a cuddle room, a sensual room, and all kinds of BDSM equipment. Descend into the 3100 square foot basement to play on equipment that many in the community may have enjoyed in days gone by plus some newer pieces from our collection. There will be crosses, benches, tables, bondage chairs, cages, and much more! Much of the equipment was recovered from the Citadel's lost storage unit early in 2024 with additional pieces from AfterDark and Paradox.

COVID-19 Safety

We're asking that everyone do a rapid test before they arrive. Put your name/initials & date on the test strip. Take a photo & show it at the door when you arrive. We will have a limited number of tests for sale at $25 each in case anyone is unable to pretest. We prefer you bring a photo of your test rather than sell you one. Masks are optional and we encourage their use.

Entry

Presale tickets are required - the venue address will only be sent to ticket holders. Ticket prices are tiered as follows. Each tier has a fixed number of tickets.

  1. Tier 1 - $45 (Early bird)
  2. Tier 2 - $55
  3. Tier 3 - $65
  4. Tier 4 - $80
  5. Financial Access (while available) - $30

All tiers will have tickets available until the tier sells out. Lower tiers will sell out fairly quickly so we recommend getting your tickets as soon as possible!

If you are a member of one of our partner groups, please check with your group for discount codes.

A portion of all ticket sales will go towards enabling access to the event for low-income community members. Financial access tickets may be purchased on the ticket page while they remain available. Your regular ticket fees help cover venue rent, security, catering, performers, and other professional service fees, food, decorations, A/V, purchase and maintenance of play equipment, paying the guest hosts and so much more. AfterDark believes in paying people for their time, knowledge and experience. We are also putting aside all excess revenue towards Paradox - our new permanent home opening soon.

We expect this event to sell out in advance of the event date. Purchase your tickets as early as possible for the best available prices and to guarantee your spot - don’t miss out! We sometimes get a few cancellations the days leading up to the event so place yourself on the waiting list if you see a sold out message.

Dress Code

Dress to kill. What makes you feel sexy, confident, ready to take on the world? Is it fetish wear? Is it leather? Is it a skimpy lingerie that leaves little to the imagination? Whatever it is, we want it here. Bring it.

While dressing to the theme is strongly encouraged in order to help maintain the immersive ambiance of the night, general kink/BDSM, lingerie, costumes, etc. are also welcome as are regular dungeon blacks. We encourage you to dress up at least a little. Make an effort to impress but if nothing else comes to mind then dress as you would for a fancy night out.

Accessibility

The entrance to the space is on the ground floor, which includes lockers (bring your own lock or purchase one at the front desk), social areas, and two bathrooms. There are no steps on the ground floor. The bathrooms are each single stall with grab bars on the wall and toilets mounted to the floor. The basement of the venue contains play areas and can only be reached via stairs. There will be music playing throughout the night, and ear plugs are available for free at the front desk. There are colored lights in use throughout the venue, including rotating “party lights” for ambiance. Cell phones are prohibited from being used in the venue and must be stored; however, you may speak to a host about reasonable accommodations if needed for things such as continuous glucose monitoring. If you have any accessibility questions, please email us at info@afterdark-events.com

Connect

As with all AfterDark events, we'll have role stickers at the party to help identify and spark connections. In addition - we will be using our wristband system to help people appropriately initiate social interactions. People who are comfortable being respectfully approached about the possibility of play will be wearing yellow wristbands. If you see someone wearing a red wristband, that indicates that they prefer to not be approached about play, but may be open to conversations on other topics. Let them bring up play, don’t bring it up to them.

If you want to meet and chat with others who are coming to this party ahead of time then check out the event chat here at Plura.
