Relationship and Movement
This group therapy aims to identify the psychological implications of relationship patterns and improve one's relationships with self and others through a movement study called Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis (LBMA).
Inspired by Bruce Perry's relational health and Infant-Parent Mental Health concept of "Serve and Return," the facilitator incorporated a relational dance called Contact Improvisation. Participants explore the interconnectedness between interpersonal relationship patterns and Contact Improvisation practice.
It is a closed group of 12 people to provide a container for deeper exploration. Participants will learn and explore various movement qualities and identify movement patterns in their relationships with others. Participants will have a chance to consult relationship challenges with the group to explore different patterns in the dynamic that may serve the relationship better.
