The “Relationship and Movement” somatic movement group therapy promotes psychological well-being through physiological practice for people with a history of relational trauma. It supports participants in exploring the psychological implications of relationship patterns and improving their relationships with themselves and others.
The group therapy is led by a Certified Movement Analyst and based on human movement study called Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis. As a mental health clinician, the facilitator was inspired by Bruce Perry's relational health and Infant-Parent Mental Health concept of "Serve and Return" and incorporated a relational dance called Contact Improvisation.
