Resonance is a space designed for the curious, the returning, and the brand new.

Resonance begins not with play, but with connection. Through our Connection Lab—a guided series of one-on-one conversations—you’ll meet others with openness, vulnerability, and curiosity. No speed-dating vibes here—just genuine conversations that spark recognition and community.

From there, you’ll have the opportunity to observe, ask questions, or try hands-on tastings of different BDSM practices guided by experienced facilitators.

What You’ll Experience

1. 7:00 PM – Doors Open: Social hour. Meet the community, ask questions, tour the space, and settle in. Bring a snack to share and enjoy the BYOB bar.
2. 8:00 PM – The Connection Lab: Rotate through one-on-one conversations guided by curated question lists (we have 30+ topics). Expect meaningful exchanges, shared vulnerability, and authentic connection.
3. 9:30 PM – Closing Circle: Reflect together on what you discovered, set intentions for the evening, and ground as a group.
4. 10:00 PM–Midnight – BDSM Tastings & Demos: Explore negotiation, watch demonstrations, and try out practices like impact, rope, sensation, and more with the guidance of four skilled practitioners.

This is my first BDSM event ever. How do you support anxious first-timers?

Resonance was designed for you. We know stigma, shame, and nerves can feel heavy, so we create a warm welcome at the door and have facilitators available all evening to answer questions or help you navigate triggers.

Do I have to be a member to attend?

Not at all. Resonance is open to the public and is often the first step people take into our community.

What should I wear?

Dress code is “comfortable and confident.” This isn’t a dungeon—wear whatever helps you feel most like yourself.

What should I bring?

Bring a snack to share and a drink you enjoy. We provide water, tea, coffee, and lollipops.

1. Where: The Sanctuary of East Harlem, 113 E 125th St., NY, NY 10035 (Push the outside door firmly. The space is up one flight of stairs, not wheelchair accessible.)
