Description
Curious about rope bondage, but don't know where to start? Looking for a chance to connect with the rope community? Since 2010, Rope Bite San Francisco has provided a welcoming, all-inclusive social venue for meeting fellow rope lovers and practicing your bondage skills. All you need to attend is an interest in rope! If you don’t have your own rope yet, don’t worry – we’ll have loaner rope you can use. We’ll also have handouts on safety, and hosts will share some basic techniques during the event.
Rope Bite SF has returned to its café roots and moved across the Bay to an exciting new venue! Come hang out, have a beverage, and make new friends at Nectar Social Club in Oakland.
For more info on what to expect, free online educational resources, and links to related events, see the official Rope Bite group on Fetlife.
About your hosts:
@RachelKi (she/her) is a rope switch and aerial artist who has performed and presented at events across North America.
@knotsari (they/them) is a designer, educator, and SM enthusiast who shows up to share ways of connecting with, supporting, and challenging each other.
SCHEDULE:
Nectar is open on either side of our event, so please feel free to show up early or stay late. We typically do intros at around 7:15 and then provide demonstrations and advice until ~9:00pm. Throughout, you're welcome to learn from our demos, practice your own stuff, peruse the library, socialize, and otherwise hang around - do what you feel!
ACCESS:
This event will be at Nectar Social Club, at 408 15th St in downtown Oakland. Nectar is an awesome café, bar, and community-oriented event space that’s wheelchair accessible and has a parklet on the street for those who’d rather socialize outdoors.
This event is completely free and not ticketed. If you can afford to do so, please donate, support the venue, and tip the staff well! We are volunteer-run, and Nectar lets us use their space for free, so please help make it worth their while in whatever way you can!
POLICIES:
Please familiarize yourself with our Event Policies before attending Rope Bite.
Do not attend this event if you have any respiratory symptoms whatsoever. Anyone displaying signs of respiratory symptoms may be asked to leave regardless of vaccination status.
