Join us for a night of house and club at the 3rd edition of Saint Valentine’s Rave and the
event’s New York debut.
On the headline is Kilopatrah Jones: Born and raised in Queens, a city dweller and a
club kid, Kilopatrah has an innate and superlative gift for transferring energy from the
booth to the dance floor—through exciting house, techno, and jungle, and moments that
both harken to Sound Factory–era glory days and bring you to sweaty BPMs of the
future. Their sets are palpably personal: the dance floor has always been a powerful
platform for expression for Kilo, initially as a freeing and connecting space for a quiet
house dancer and now for moving others like them.
When Kilo gets going, you’ll lose sense of the kick drum versus the beat of your own body
against the floor. That’s a gift from them to you, and your percussion is a gift back to them.
Kilo brings their energetic sass to a monthly Lot Radio residency and to parties with
impressive lineups, playing alongside Todd Terry and Underground Resistance in New
York, at the legendary Movement weekend Club Toilet in Detroit, and most recently at
Panorama Bar. Their mixes, for series such as Coloring Lessons, Honcho (RA Mix Of The
Day), and Juanita’s, and for spots on Rinse and Refuge, also capture the club at its most
euphoric. You’ll step a little harder with Kilopatrah Jones.
The party’s eponymous Saint Valentine is a house DJ and former FM radio host based in
Brooklyn. This past year, he has filled dancefloors in Oslo, Barcelona, Wales, and
Oakland with sounds spanning classic Detroit, New York garage, and Nordic disco. His
Saint Valentine’s Rave was conceived in San Francisco, with previous editions drawing
hundreds to the city’s Castro and Mission Districts.
The King Diva’s reign on the dance floor is built on a foundation that combines music
and fashion while spearheading his Queer music collective ‘4 The Dancers.’ He
commands the dance floor with an aura of royalty, fusing house, disco, pop, and techno
music at venues like Jupiter Disco, Café Balearica and his Friday night residency at
Bushwick’s Pink Metal. He invites all who step into his sonic kingdom to express
themselves freely and lose themselves in the power of his music curation.
xjames is a club DJ, music industry insider, and co-founder of It’s a Secret, a woman-
centered dance event that has taken over venues including Baby’s All Right, Rash, and
Honey’s.
