[San Fran, Hands-On] Rough Sex for Nice Folks + Play Party

When you or a lover likes it… Rough. 😈 And then you get a Play Party to practice... Sploosh! 💦

A play party during the day?! Say less!

Join us Sunday afternoon at the Kink Store in San Francisco for a DOUBLE-HEADER: Workshop + a Play Party, hosted by ReidAboutSex.com's Reid Mihalko.

The workshop… Rough Sex for Nice Folks!

Followed by a play party where you can practice your new skills on all of the Kink Store’s amazing BDSM dungeon equipment and fancy furniture.

This isn’t a workshop in someone’s living room. This is a swanky, sexy space designed to make you feel sexy, along with a workshop to get the juices flowing (and your brain generating some salacious things to do with your newfound friends)!

You must attend the workshop to attend the play party.

Venue location sent upon confirmation of registration.

Must be 21+.

Limited to 35 humans.

🎟️ Plura+ Members receive a discount on tickets! Check out membership on the Plura app and see if it’s for you. 🎟️

HOW THE DOUBLE-HEADER WORKS...

The entire event is from Noon-5pm.

Doors open Sunday at Noon.

Change into your sexiest lingerie or gear for the workshop, which goes from 12:30–2:00pm.

The Play Party check-in happens after, and then it’s a choose-your-own-adventure-style play party until the closing circle at 4:30pm!

You’re welcome to leave early at any time, but Reid will lovingly kick everyone out at 5pm.

No Late Arrivals — If you’re running late, text the number in your confirmation email, but we do lock the doors to latecomers to uphold the event’s integrity.

🔥 THE INVITATION

When you or a lover likes it… a little rough.

Not careless. Not clueless.

But intentional, skillful, confident rough.

The kind that makes someone melt

not flinch.

And then—after you learn how to do it well— you get a whole room, a whole dungeon, and a whole afternoon to explore what that feels like in your body.

Yeah… we’re doing that. 😈

🧠 THE WORKSHOP: ROUGH SEX FOR NICE FOLKS

You don’t need to be aggressive to be rough.

You don’t need to be dominant to take charge.

You just need skill, awareness, consent, and some mischievous new ideas — which Reid Mihalko, sex educator, double black belt, and former fight choreographer, will show you how to unleash your inner Bruce Lee in the bedroom.

This is a Show ’N Tell Then Try class, which means you’ll see techniques demonstrated live and have the option to try them out in real time with a willing partner.

No pressure. Just permission. And loads of learning.

In this humorous, hands-on, all-genders class, Reid will cover:

✅ How to turn your partner’s body AND mind on (and why this is so important!)

✅ How arousal affects pain receptors and why we want it “rough” sometimes

✅ “Thuddy” vs “stingy” and “pinchy” vs “chompy” (yes, these things matter)

✅ Body positioning & leverage for stronger, safer, and longer-lasting play

✅ Why wrestling can be so dang hot (and how to do it well)

✅ Hair-pulling 101

✅ Spanking for beginners

✅ Biting basics (and why biting can help some folks orgasm harder!)

✅ Moving your partner’s body with confidence and care

✅ What people are REALLY seeking when they ask to be choked

✅ And more…

No matter your experience level, orientation, or relationship status, this class is going to be educational, fun, and give you some delicious bedroom kung-fu.

You’ll leave with new skills, new ideas, a few new things you want to try at the play party, and possibly some new friends to practice with. 😉

This is not about performance.

It’s about embodiment.

This isn’t about showing off.

It’s about showing up.

🤝 THE PAL SYSTEM (IMPORTANT… AND KIND OF HOT)

To help create a safer, more connected, and accountable experience, we are using the PAL System for this event. 🤝

PAL stands for Pervy Activity Liaison — hat tip to Mission Control for inventing the PAL System for their play parties.

Translation: Bring someone you trust… and maybe someone you’d trust to help you explore a little. 😏

Your PAL is:

  • A potential practice partner for the workshop
  • Your social anchor during the event
  • Your built-in “hey, are you good?” check-in human
  • A possible play partner or wing-person for the play party

PALs:

  • Arrive together
  • Look out for each other
  • Leave together

PAL tickets are not gendered — bring any trusted human you’d vouch for as a consent-savvy, excellent (and possibly very fun) person.

PAL tickets are limited.

Flying Solo? You may apply for a PAL Exception where you can lovingly plead your case (no guarantees): ReidAboutSex.com/pal-exception-request

Note on Gender Balancing: Reid does not gender balance his play parties. He does pay attention to fostering spaces where people feel safe enough to express their erotic and sexual selves around people they're just meeting. The PAL System has proven time and time again to attract the kinds of thoughtful and caring humans who engender such a space in which things get awfully hawt. 🔥

🎭 THE PLAY PARTY

After the workshop, we will have a check-in, and then the space shifts into a play party where you’re invited to explore yourself and others in ways that feel exciting, grounded, and consensual.

And yes…

There is a lot of gorgeous equipment to explore — and gorgeous people to explore it with (or invite others to watch you play solo).

Think: Adult playground… but with better lighting, better consent, and much better communication.

You’ll find:

  • Equipment designed for restraint, leverage, and exploration
  • Soft spaces for connection
  • Hard edges for impact
  • And people moving at all different speeds of yes

You can:

  • Try what you just learned
  • Explore something new
  • Let someone else take the lead (with permission)
  • Ask Reid for support
  • Or hang back, enjoy the show, and make new friends

At a Reid event:

👉 Voyeurism is participation

👉 You never have to play

👉 Consent is active, ongoing, and required

👉 “No” is sexy. “I've changed my mind” is sexy. “Watch me instead” is very sexy.

After the check-in, the party unfolds in whatever ways feel right for you.

There’s no script — only invitations.

There are no “have to’s,” only “get to’s.”

🔥 Want to observe and take it all in? Find a cozy nook and soak in the beauty of people engaging with authenticity, desire, and care.

👐 Feeling drawn to sensual connection? Go as slow as feels right. Practice what you learned. Try eye-gazing. Play with energy.

💋 Curious about more explicit, erotic play or sex? Find your words, find a willing partner, and follow your desires — always with explicit consent and mutual enthusiasm.

💞 Need a pause? Sink into a cuddle, journal, or take a breather.

🚗 Feeling full and want to leave early? We love that you're taking care of yourself. You’re always at choice.

Every moment is an opportunity to explore — without expectation, pressure, or obligation.

There is something incredibly powerful about being in a room where:

Desire is visible

Boundaries are spoken

And saying “no” is just as respected & celebrated as moaning “please don’t stop!”

If you’re thinking:

“I’m curious… but I don’t know if I want to play…”

Perfect. You’re exactly who this space is for.

These Double-Header events are:

  • A beautiful, low-pressure, high-permission container for first play party experiences
  • A refined playground for experienced folks to deepen their skills and be role models

👗 WHAT TO WEAR; WHAT TO BRING

This is an intentionally sexy, elevated space.

Wear something that makes you feel:

  • Powerful
  • Desired
  • Comfortable in your skin
  • And able to move comfortably enough to try workshop exercises

Lingerie, leather, harnesses, silk, mesh, your sexiest onesie… or something deceptively simple that makes people look twice.

You can arrive in street clothes and change on-site.

🧰 WHAT TO BRING

This is a workshop followed by a play party.

While there will be safer sex supplies and equipment to play on...

Consider bringing:

  • Your favorite sex toys — vibrators, dildos, butt plugs, impact toys you love, etc.
  • Your favorite rope and restraints
  • Your favorite safer sex supplies if you have such
  • a squirt blanket if you or a loved one are super juicy
  • snacks (that don't make a mess) in case you get peckish!
  • a water bottle that has a lid
  • a notebook and pen for the workshop!

⚠️ VENUE RULES (READ — THESE MATTER)

This space is stunning. Let’s keep it that way.

🧴 Lube

  • Important: Water-based ONLY on surfaces
  • If you must use silicone or oils for lube = you MUST bring your own waterproof barrier so we don't stain their expensive sheets and furniture! #ThanksInAdvance

🧼 Cleanup

  • Clean your surfaces after using them
  • Respect shared equipment
  • Leave no trace of your… juicy enthusiasm 😉

🚫 Substances & Phones

  • No alcohol
  • No drugs
  • No phones out — turned off & stored away

This is a present, immersive space — stay in it.

💬 FINAL WORD

There’s something rare about a room where:

People know how to touch

People know how to ask

People know how to stop

…and still choose to go deeper.

This is also a space to practice and hone inclusivity & non-judgment. All genders, bodies, relationship expressions, ages 21+, and orientations are welcome. LGBTQIA+ and BiPOC folks are warmly welcomed. Trans women are women. Trans men are men. All expressions of authentic desire (within consent and care) are welcome.

Note: While this event is set up for kinky exploration, it is not a heavy BDSM event. If you have questions, reach out to Reid at Support@ReidAboutSex.com

Other than that…

If this event calls to you…

Come play. And come with your friends!
