Rara Avis aka Alex King-Harris has not been in the Bay Area for over 5 years!

Known in the music world as Rara Avis (n. latin for Rare Bird),

Alex King-Harris is a dedicated master of his craft with over 20

years experience in multi-instrumental live performance, DJ-ing

and music production. His core focus is on where the electronic

underground, yoga and ecstatic dance movements collide.

CEO and Co-Founder of YogiTunes.com, Alex has created a

streaming and download music service featuring the world’s

largest catalog of top quality soundtracks for yoga and wellness

activities.

Alex is a visiting instructor at California Institute for Integral

Studies lecturing on sound healing and is also a certified yoga

instructor.

Rara Avis contributed many years of writing and performing with three well known collaborative projects, Shamans Dream, Desert Dwellers and Liquid Bloom. While his solo work can be found on Six Degrees Records.

Come join the amazing community we co-create every week! It is our dance church and sanctuary! A place to connect and re-connect with yourself and others. Guidelines for our dance

• BE PRESENT (no phones or cameras)

• NO TALKING (no talking on the main dance floor – soft voice/whispering is ok in the back of the room)

• EMBODIMENT (be aware if your body movement is causing danger or if your voice/sounds are disruptive to those around you)

• SUBSTANCE FREE (no intoxicants of any kind)

• CONSENSUAL (make eye contact and confirm a “YES” before engaging with others, respect others space - crossed arms, looking or moving away means “NO”)

• GROUNDING (no outside shoes)

• RESPECT (respect your own & other’s space, expression, and autonomy)
