Self-Suspension OpenSpace with Shay Tiziano

Self-suspension can be used for dynamic movement, exploration of intense sensation, mindfulness practice, as a tool to build partnered bondage skills, as a ritual, and more.

Come tie in the beautiful VoxBody Studio, surrounded by other self-suspension aficionados!

This suspension-focused self-tie rope jam includes an Open Space style segment with opportunities to share knowledge and ask questions, as well as unstructured jam time when folks can spot for each other, practice, and socialize. If you have an interest in self-suspension, we'd love to see you there!

There will not be a formal class – if you have something you'd like to learn or share, please arrive near the beginning of the session, when the attendees will collectively list options and vote on selections!

*Attendees are expected to have the risk awareness and self-knowledge to participate at a level that is safe(r) for them. This is not a structured self-suspension 101 class – it is intended for folks with a foundation of self-tying knowledge. If you've never self-suspended but are interested in learning more, you are welcome to attend, socialize, and practice floor work, but please don't expect that you'll be taught foundational skills and safety to put yourself in the air.*

* VoxBody has loaner rope for attendees to borrow during the event, and rope for sale. Loaner rope should NOT be used for self-suspension.

About Shay:

Shay Tiziano (she/her or they/them) is a renowned bondage performer, presenter, producer, and self-suspender known for their innovative, intense performances and friendly, attainable, and risk-awareness-focused approach to kink education. She is the author of Tying & Flying, the first-ever book about self-suspension, Creating Captivating Classes, the first-ever book specifically for kink educators, and editor of the anthology Soaring & Exploring: Self-Suspension for Experienced Tiers & Flyers.

Based in San Francisco, Shay is the stages & entertainment co-lead for the Folsom Street Fair and produces the acclaimed bondage and fetish performance event Twisted Windows.
