SF: The Embodied Feminine Daylong Intensive (by Click Your Heels)

The Embodied Feminine

A somatic exploration of feminine power.

What if our bodies were lightning rods for divine feminine power? What if we pulled this energy into our skin, our bones, our breath, and our pulse? What if we allowed our bodies to give us strength and shine bright, bold, and brave in the world?

This is a day-long workshop to help us each recover and deepen our somatic connection to that elemental spirit of the feminine, which is part of the pulse of the universe. This is the only body you will ever have. What if your body was your partner? A source of energy, strength, and renewal?

There is no such thing as navigating our relationships with our bodies honestly without bumping into patriarchy, colonialism, capitalism, and racism.

We all dream of a new era of freedom for the feminine spirit, what that could feel like for ourselves, and for all of humanity. This is a day of real work to address the stains of body shame/fear/hate we carry inside of us, which clouds our mind-body connection. It serves as a blocker or a jailer, preventing us from loving our bodies and feeling at home in them.

It’s time to gather in community. It’s time to grow beyond the limits we were fed. Every moment of your life is lived in this one body. Are you ready to step into a power they can never extinguish?

We may not have been raised for this, but we were born for it.

We will be engaging through movement both large and small and through listening, music, language, touch, texture, breath, and more.

All genders and bodies are welcome.

We believe people of all bodies and genders can embrace and empower their innate feminine energy.

This workshop is for people who

  1. Have, past or present, deep-lived experiences of femmephobia and/or misogyny,

AND

  1. Want to engage with and embrace their innate feminine power.

We will be using and encouraging language such as “My body? She is my partner," "I trust her completely," and "My cunt is powerful." Anyone comfortable with she/her pronouns being used for our bodies for the duration of this workshop is welcome and encouraged to attend. People will be referred to using they/them pronouns. All staff, management, and owners for this event and this venue are LGBTQ+.

There will be zero nudity or stripping. Please wear layers of clothes in which you can move freely, that uplift your energy, and that help you feel erotic and positive. It will be beneficial for you to be able to feel your skin with your hands, so if possible, please wear an underlayer such as a tank top, crop top, shorts, etc., that allows you easy access to some of your bare skin. Choose your hair and makeup knowing that we will ask you to put your hands on your head and face.
