Sharps Jam - Fun with Needle Stencils

Sharps Jam! is a peer skill share and practice time for all things that go into the skin: needles, staples, hooks, scalpels, knives. Every second Tuesday of the month, your hosts Addy (@CuriousxTen) and Mariana (@kelpnoodles) kick things off with a demo highlighting different kinds of sharps play.

After the hosts share a demo, we’ll have a short opening circle, and then the dungeon will be open for sharps labbing and scenes. Your hosts will also set aside some time for questions. Whether you are new to sharps and just curious to watch and learn, a seasoned sharps player who wants to try something new, or just to be with the sharps community, this event welcomes you. You can come solo or with partners.

For our January skill share, we’ll be demo-ing how to use a needle stencil and will also run through a quick needles 101 course for folks that would find that helpful.

Praxium will provide snacks, sharps containers, puppy pads, and gloves. Please bring your own sharps, skin prep, medical supplies, and any aftercare needs. If your scene will need a tarp, please bring one.

Doors open at 6:30 PM. No entry after 9:30PM.

Event Rules

Our lab-style workshops are community-centered educational events focused on skill sharing and learning, not play parties. Guests are expected to bring their own tools, sanitize shared equipment before and after use, and respect the house manager, Dungeon Monitor, and staff. Sex of any kind, breath play or simulated breath play, restraint across the front of the neck, fire, candles, vaping, and smoking are not permitted. These events are not for cruising; please watch from a respectful distance and avoid commenting or intruding on other guest’s labbing experiences, including during aftercare. All Praxium Events are 18+.

  1. This event is intended for sharps-focused scenes and activities.
  2. All needles, staples, or blades need to be disposed of in sharps containers, either venue provided ones, or your own.
  3. Photography of your scene is allowed provided everyone pictured has explicitly consented to it, including anyone partially in the background.
  4. No video or audio recording of any kind.
  5. Use plastic sheets or absorbent pads on furniture and the ground to prevent blood spills.
  6. Clean up your space using antiseptic wipes. Do not use alcohol to clean vinyl or leather as it can damage the material.
  7. Sharps must be capped or buried before a bottom leaves their station/scene area.
  8. Blood impact play is not allowed, unless inside a dexter room. Please coordinate with a host beforehand.

About the Instructors

Addy (@CuriousxTen, she/her) is a long-time kinkster who discovered a love of sharps and blood play about 4 years ago and dove right in. She has taken numerous classes on sharps techniques and safety, and has participated in hundreds of sharps scenes. She really enjoys helping people learn new skills. You’ll often find her in a joyous scene laughing, stuck full of metal, and dripping blood.

Mariana (@kelpnoodles, she/her) is an active Bay Area kinkster with a shameless love for anything that pierces, pokes, or bleeds. She finds real joy in creating friendly, curiosity-driven spaces for people to learn and explore edge play together. Mariana plays on both sides of the needle, both as a bottom who enjoys intensity, and as a top fascinated by the creativity and precision of sharps.
