We split the 101 and 102 groups into separate areas.

CLASS START TIME IS 8:00PM. DOORS OPEN AT 7:30PM FOR CHECK-IN.

Doors open at 7:30 to allow for socializing.

Class starts promptly at 8pm. Doors Lock at 8:15.

Please arrive on time to limit interruptions.

This month 101B

Rotating curriculum 101A, 101B, and 101C

Focus: 3 different ties each session, basics of safety and negotiation, connecting with your partner, permission and consent, and creating a scene.

Instructors 102 Intermediate:

To join the 102 you must have gone through the safety part of our 101, and know how to tie a single / double column with your eyes closed.

101: We have videos on a 10' wide screen that accompany the class to help you visualize the ties. We have a rotating A>B>C curriculum that teaches different information in each session.

102: This is a growth out of the 101 curriculum for those looking beyond beginner level. To complement and enrich the basic Shibari lessons. Rotating curriculum. You will be in the dance area with 16' of mirrors and a large screen TV to help you visually see the instruction.

102 (Intermediate) students should bring 4 lengths of rope, and safety shears.

Rope partners are preferred but not required. We have inanimate substitutes ready to be tied. If you come to the class without a partner we will NOT pair you up.

Welcome

These classes, held every second Wednesday at a spacious 4000 square foot working art studio, in Long Beach. They are designed for those interested in learning the basics of Japanese rope bondage. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the fundamental techniques and safety considerations of this dynamic and artistic practice. Whether you are a complete newcomer to Shibari or have some prior experience, our classes offer a welcoming and supportive environment for all skill levels. Come and discover the beauty and cultural richness of Shibari as you explore your creativity and sensuality.

The classes are designed for partnered learning. If you do not have a partner we have mannequins, pool noodles or pillows for tying. We will NOT connect you with a partner.

We will split the group based on your skill level. Please don't join the intermediate group until we have made sure you have gone through the intro.

DON'T HAVE ROPE? We have rope available for you to borrow or purchase. Bring $8 and you will receive your own personal hank of rope.

Things you should bring:

1. Tying ROPE: a couple hanks 25-30ft in length each.
2. Comfortable clothing for rope
3. Aftercare needs, a blanket to keep warm after tying.
4. Safety shears. Available for purchase if you don't have any.
5. A mat to tie on, if you prefer to use your own.

Available:

1. Water bottles, coffee, popcorn, and snacks will be offered free of charge
2. We have many soft mats for tying on.
3. Emergency supplies will be on site in the form of safety shears and a first aid kit.

General Rules and Info:

Photography will only be allowed for reference. When taking photos please always make sure no one else is in the frame. Do not take pictures of the instructors or other guests. Be respectful towards other guests.

ONLY Fans content and things like that. Please do not video for your ONLY Fans or monetary based social media platforms where you are trying to build a following and get paid. We have found that this is putting others at risk for their privacy. If you wish to use our location for such content please arrange a separate time with us. This must be done ahead of time.

Suspension: Suspensions are allowed after you have been fully vetted by one of our leadership. Each person must demonstrate mastery by suspending Ishi-Rock. A 50 pound rock.

Miscellaneous:

Nudity is allowed

Please ask for before shaking hands, hugging, touching other guests or their property

No sex allowed, no exchange of bodily fluids.

Put a towel under your booty before sitting on furniture if your booty is naked.

Be respectful towards other guests

Don't speak loudly and allow other guests a degree of intimacy

DON'T touch other people’s toys if you have not asked for and received permission.

PARKING: Do NOT park in any of the parking lots. They will TOW even if you have a handicap sign! Park on the streets. There is no 2-hour time limit on Sundays or after 7pm. Do not leave anything visible in your car.
