Come learn how to construct Shuka Bishi-based body harnesses, box-ties (TKs), mermaid ties, and hybrid ties that are beautiful, secure, and usable for both floorwork and suspensions!
The Shuka Bishi is a simple foundational pattern that lets you construct an endless variety of ties. We'll cover the pattern, different applications of it, and tips on how to adapt it to various scenarios. Some of the variations will be suitable for tying with two different rope colors, so, if you have contrasting colors of rope, bring them.
The class will focus on floorwork. For those already familiar with suspensions we'll briefly cover how to use the patterns in suspensions, but we will not be teaching suspensions in this class.

Date: 14 June 2025 (Saturday)
Time: 2pm - 5pm
Instructor: @Naturnalturn
Location: San Jose
(You will receive the exact address in your confirmation email)
Do I need to bring my own rope?
The house will provide jutes for everyone to use. However, it is strongly advised to bring your ropes as they are limited.
Do I need a tying partner?
Yes, it is very hard to tie yourself in a full body harness...
You may come solo and audit the class. We will encourage solo attendees to pair up, but we can not promise you will find a tying partner. If you are a switch, pair up with your switch-y friends! You learn the most if you can experience both sides!
What should I wear?
For Riggers: Anything you feel the most comfortable in. You will feel warmer than your bottom, so don't put too many layers on!
For bottoms: Tighter clothes are the best. For example tank tops and yoga pants. If you wear bras, please remember to take them off or wear wireless bras for upper body ties.
Will I be able to learn to suspend someone?
No. This class will be a groundwork focus.
