Snap Jam - A Photography Skillshare

Boudoir Foundations: Angles, Soft Confidence, and “Where Do I Put My Hands?”

Presented by UsedByDisney and SirDyllan and Praxium

GET TICKETS HERE!

Boudoir doesn’t have to feel awkward, exposed, or performative. This foundational skillshare focuses on comfort-first posing, consent-forward photography, and building confidence without pressure or shame. We can apply these skills while you’re photographing yourself, working with partners, or supporting others behind the camera, this class centers agency at every step.

You’ll learn clear boudoir comfort language and consent practices, including opt-out tools like “skip,” “pause,” and “pivot,” continuous consent, and privacy-by-default norms. We’ll cover how to ask before shooting or giving feedback, how to offer verbal direction without touching, and how to create images that feel aligned instead of forced. No fixing language, no body correction, no obligation to perform.

On the practical side, we’ll cover phone camera basics, simple flattering light using windows and open shade, and how small adjustments create strong lines. You’ll be guided through three adaptable poses designed for standing or seated bodies, with micro-cues for hands, hips, posture, breath, and negative space.

This is skill-building, not a photoshoot. The goal is images that feel like you, taken on your terms.

Doors open at 6:30 PM. No entry after 9:30PM.

About the Instructors

UsedByDisney (she/her or they/them) has been in the community since 2014, both publicly and privately. They began photographing professionally in 2018 and now specialize in boudoir and erotic photography, creating images that help clients feel seen, confident, and connected to their self-love, sensuality, romance, and inner deity energy. She strives to make photography welcoming and comfortable for everyone, regardless of background, ability, or skill level. Beyond the camera, they lead the East Bay Elegance Munch, assist with Solano County poly support, and help organize local community events—building spaces that feel inclusive, respectful, and genuinely supportive for all.

SirDyllan is a Disabled, Queer, Polyamorous Leatherman and Activist. First published for lighting in 2000, as a photographer in 2006, and in multiple publications over the decades, he has studied photography since childhood through apprenticeship, self-discipline, and classes. Beyond events, His focuses are Portraiture, Glamour and Boudoir. Sir Dyllan often volunteers behind the lens with local groups and at events as a way to give back to the community and to uplift others. When not photographing, He tries to hold space for others, and participate in or lead classes/discussions on the topics of Kink, Leather, Power/Authority Exchange/Transfer, and Polyamory.
