SOJ Hiking: The San Francisco Stroll

Swap your cuffs for comfy shoes and your floggers for fleece as we celebrate the ho-ho-holiday season! Join us for a vanilla hike along San Francisco's stunning Great Highway while it's closed to cars.

This walk is a chance to mingle with fellow kinksters in the great outdoors, enjoy some fresh air, and share some laughs in a social environment. This is strictly a vanilla gathering, so leave your toys at home and bring your love for community and connection instead. We'll take a relaxed pace, perfect for conversation and catching up with new or familiar faces.

Your hosts will meet you in front of the restroom at Judah & Great Highway with a large millipede plushie.

As with all SOJ events, this hike is 18+. Dogs are welcome at this event!

About the Hike

This hike is a fully paved, mostly flat 3.5 mile loop on the closed Great Highway in San Francisco, starting and ending near Judah & Great Highway. We'll be taking a leisurely pace with plenty of stops to enjoy the views of the ocean and the city, so expect the hike to take 1.5 - 2 hours. The route is wheelchair accessible though the presence of sand in some areas may impact accessibility.

This is a dog friendly route and event but we ask for dogs to remain leashed at all times. Because we cannot predict who and what else might be on the path, if your pooch is reactive or aggressive please leave them at home.

What to Bring

• Sturdy, comfortable shoes
• Weather-appropriate layers—it's SF, so prepare for a light breeze or misty kiss from the ocean
• Sunscreen
• A water bottle (stay hydrated!)
• Snacks if you want them
• Good vibes and an open mind :)

This is a vanilla event, please dress appropriately for hiking and the weather and keep it PG so as to not disrupt anyone else enjoying the park. Thank you!

Accessibility

This trail is fully paved and wheelchair accessible. However, the highway does run next to the ocean and sand may make it difficult to navigate in some areas. The bathrooms at Judah & Great Highway are also accessible.
