Impact play is much more than implements, rhythms and pain. In this class we explore tools to create flowing, intimate and intense experiences. Instead of deepening specific impact techniques, this lesson is focused on bringing awareness to the effect that environment, forms of communication, positioning and movement have on scenes and how these elements can be leveraged within play. We’ll discuss specific questions to add to your negotiation to better inform the emotional desires of your partner(s) to adjust a scene and the interactions within it. With the confidence of understanding, we then will explore unusual yet effective positioning techniques, changing positions and furniture for a dynamic scene flow, and leveraging a bottom’s perspective to create desired levels of comfort and discomfort. The ultimate goal of The Dance of Impact is that you walk out with a brand new, broader perspective of the myriad elements that are always at play within a scene and can treat them as additional tools to use on your bottoms.

Doors open at 6:30 PM and close at 9:30PM.

About the Instructor

Mexico City transplant and Bay Area local kinkster, César (@CallMeSea, they/them) navigates the intersections of kink, polyamory, neurodivergence and queerness as a relatively young person in the space. They use their experiences; learnings and failures to help aspiring practitioners avoid pitfalls and approach kink as an ever expanding sea of self exploration and intimacy tools. César’s approach to impact is informed by a martial arts background, deep sadistic tendencies, and a desire to create safe containers for people to be able to connect with their bodies and minds.
