Spanksgiving at Stopgap!

Back in pre-covid times we used to throw Spanksgiving parties at the Citadel to warmly ease in the holiday weekend.

Now we're going to restart the tradition at San Francisco's new favorite dungeon - Stopgap - by again hosting a fun and sexy kink party the night before Thanksgiving Day. All kinksters are welcome. Our inclusive, pansexual play party is open to all genders and orientations.

We'd love to see you all so join us for Spanksgiving at Stopgap; for delicious food; for great raffle prizes; for opportunities to make new connections; and a whole lot of hot fun on a cold November night. While the name of the party is indeed Spanksgiving, you don't have to limit yourself to just impact play. All kinds of kinky play is allowed and encouraged (within venue rules). This month’s SpankJam is a shorter, lighthearted class before our party. We’ll warm up with some seasonal silliness, explore Thanksgiving-themed pervertables, and share ideas for playful impact scenes using household items that might already be in your kitchen. Bring a pervertable that fits the theme. Think spatulas, rolling pins, or anything else that screams “ridiculous holiday chaos” and get ready for a joyful start to the festivities.

Dress Code

Dressing kinky, sexy, or weird is strongly encouraged in order to help maintain the immersive ambiance of the night. We encourage you to dress up at least a little. Make an effort to impress, but if nothing else comes to mind then dress as you would for a fancy night out.

What makes you feel sexy, confident, ready to take on the world?

3. Leather or rubber?
4. Skimpy lingerie that leaves little to the imagination?

Whatever it is, we want it here. Bring it. Just be mindful that you might have to wait in line outside when you arrive and that you are welcome to arrive in regular clothes and then change into your kinky outfit once you get inside.

Accessibility Notes:

The entrance to the space is on the ground floor and includes lockers, vendor areas, social spaces, play areas, and two bathrooms. The basement of the venue can only be reached via stairs. There will be music playing throughout the event, and ear plugs are available for free at the front desk. There are colored lights in use throughout the venue, including rotating “party lights” for ambiance. Cell phones are prohibited from being used in the venue and must be stored; however, you may speak to a host about reasonable accommodations if needed for things such as continuous glucose monitoring.

COVID-19 safety measures:

We are not requiring proof of vaccination for this evening. If you are having symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or other infectious diseases please stay home and do not come to the space until you are better.

The Venue

Stopgap is San Francisco’s premier venue for impact play - steeped in history and beloved by the kink community. The first floor offers lockers, two bathrooms, social areas, and play spaces. Below, the 3,100-square-foot basement is filled with iconic equipment, including crosses, benches, bondage chairs, and cages. Many pieces were recovered from the Citadel’s lost storage unit and hold a special place in the hearts of longtime community members. With its historic charm and ample space, Stopgap is the perfect impactful environment for creating memorable experiences.
