Studio 54 at Mission Control!

STUDIO 54

Friday, April 18th, 2025

8:30pm-2am

THE PARTY

Mission Control seeks to reignite a bit of the original’s glory. Whether you are a master of the hustle or someone who simply moves with the beat, this is your moment. This is the night to let rhythm take control as you move your feet to the infectious “four on the floor” Disco beat!

Pull out your dancing shoes and grab your most eye-catching attire. Glitz, glam, sexiness, and a touch of the outrageous. Does your outfit scream “fabulous”?

Studio 54 is not the place to go if you’re looking for a tame night out. The dance floor, the cottage, the dungeon, and maybe even the lounge are all going to be hot and sexy. How hot? That's up to you.

EVENING’S EVENTS

  1. Doors open at 8:30pm
  2. Dance Class from 9pm-10pm to learn some moves and grooves
  3. Dance floor will be poppin’ with Disco the rest of the night
  4. Ensure your arrival before 11pm
  5. The evening concludes at 2am, when it's time to say goodnight

AGREEMENTS

Consent is paramount. Do not touch anyone on the dance floor or anywhere else without a verbal “yes”.

Don’t bring an afro wig; cultural appropriation ain’t cool.

To get past Studio 54’s bouncers, you need to be a member of Mission Control or a guest of a member (join for free). Have a ticket. Tickets are free for Mission Control Alliance members. Be 21+ with ID. Show up with your PAL (Pervy Activity Liaison), and show proof of a same day negative COVID test.

Please note, this is a BYOB event. The party provides some mixers and non-alcoholic drinks, but no alcohol sales. And unlike the New York Club, Mission Control is a drug free zone.

DISCO HISTORY

Disco was beyond a fun musical style, it was a unique collaboration between Queer, Black, and Latino cultures. The 1970s was still an era of rampant discrimination and Gay men dancing together in public was illegal. Disco musicians and dancers found avenues of self-expression on the dance floor in underground events playing records. Disco music steadily gained popularity and eventually moved up to public discotheques. The original Studio 54 then became indisputably the best nightclub in history! With sexiness everywhere and mattresses down in the basement, Studio 54 was a precursor to today’s play party scene.

VOLUNTEERS

We LOVE our volunteers. Mission Control is completely volunteer run, and volunteers are what will make Studio 54 a success. Volunteers also get free tickets. Sign up here: volunteer

No one turned away for lack of funds. If you need a free or discounted ticket, let us know here.

Look forward to seeing all of your sexy bodies out on the dance floor!

SAFETY

We seek to create a safe space where everyone can have fun. If there are any incidents, please let a host know immediately. You can also use the incident report form. We also welcome your ideas and suggestions.

PAL System: To help keep Studio 54 safe and consensual, Mission Control’s PAL System is used. To attend, you MUST arrive & leave with a responsible partner, your “PAL” for the night. There's no need to be a couple, but you are both responsible for each other during the party.

COVID: Before entry to an event, each attendee must show at the door proof of a negative result from a lab-based PCR test taken within the previous 72 hours or a rapid test within the previous 24 hours. For at-home tests, please name and date the test result card and take a photo of the card to present at time of entry.
