Tasting the Edge - A Night of Kink and Curiosity

Featuring Thrilling Edge-Play Samplers for the Adventurous!

Join AfterDark Productions and Foundations for a night that celebrates our vibrant SF Bay Area Leather communities while exploring the exciting world of kink.

This event, co-hosted with Foundations — the educational arm of NC Leather offering open-access, no-commitment classes twice a month in San Francisco— is open to everyone. Whether you're part of the Leather Community, Leather-curious, edge play-curious, or just a fun kinky person, you're welcome to join us.

Held at Stopgap, a fully equipped kink club with dedicated spaces for socializing, cuddling, playing, and sensual activities, "Tasting the Edge" offers a series of complementary samplers led by seasoned Leather tops who have spent years perfecting their edge play skills. Sampler spaces are limited, with sign-ups starting just after the party kicks off at 8pm.

The evening’s thrilling samplers will include:

• Knife Play: Feel the exhilarating edge of a blade with Marath Damane, Assistant Headmaster of Venture 2024, who will guide you through the fine line between fear and excitement.
• Needles: Puppy Dog, first-aid-trained and skilled in needle play, offers an experience that delves into the unique headspace only needles can create.
• Electrical Play: Naked Dave, a regular Foundations presenter and former Journey 2023 headmaster, will light up your night with his mastery of the violet wand.
• Single-tails: Experience the sharp sting of a single-tail with Ms. WillowKat (zie/zir), who can also provide tips for Tops looking to refine their technique.

These mini-sessions will provide attendees with an opportunity to explore and experience different aspects of kink in a safe and structured environment.  

So immerse yourself in an incredible night that celebrates the diverse and dynamic Leather communities of the Bay Area. "Tasting the Edge" is an opportunity to connect with others, explore your interests, and celebrate shared passions in a safe, supportive environment. Come out and be part of this unique night!

Tasting the Edge Highlights:

Date & Time: Friday, September 20, 8:00 PM - 1:00 AM

Location: Stopgap, San Francisco, CA (the exact venue address will be sent to ticket holders only for privacy and safety reasons, but it is in SoMa).

• Dedicated non-sexual cuddle room.
• Stickers and wristband system to facilitate connections.
• Dedicated social area, dungeon, fuck room, and cuddle room.
• Delicious spread, including vegan options.

Inclusivity & Safety:

• Our events are celebrations of humanity in all its forms, a space where age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, and abilities blend seamlessly together and we expect all guests to honor the diversity of our communities.
• Consent and respectful behavior expected. Read the event rules and consent guidelines.
• Accessible ground floor including 2 accessible bathrooms

COVID-19 safety measures:

• All guests MUST take a rapid test on the day of the event, before arriving, and write the date on the test or immediately next to the test
• Take a photo of the negative test & show it to the door guard when you arrive.
• We will have a limited number of tests for sale at $25 each in case anyone is unable to pretest

Dress Code:

We are creating an intentional space for Leather and BDSM. Outfits should ideally reflect themes related to empowerment and dominance or surrender and submission. classic outfits, (leather, corsets, suits, harnesses, thigh-high boots, gloves, etc.) are always welcome.

While dressing to the theme is strongly encouraged in order to help maintain the immersive ambiance of the night, lingerie or general fetishwear are also welcome as are dungeon blacks. We encourage you to dress up - make an effort to impress but if nothing else comes to mind then dress as you would for a fancy night out.

Please be mindful that you might have to wait in line outside (it may be cold) and that you are welcome to arrive in regular clothes and then change into your kinky outfit once you get inside!

Tickets:

Presale tickets are required. Ticket prices are tiered as follows. Each tier has a fixed number of tickets.

• Tier 1 - $50 (Early bird)
• Tier 2 - $60
• Tier 3 - $70
• Financial Access (while available): $25
• Volunteer: $0

All tiers will have tickets available until the tier sells out. Lower tiers will sell out fairly quickly so we recommend getting your tickets as soon as possible!
