In the ancient Semitic languages, the word we now know as whore meant "holy woman" or "cave" — as in the womb. Mother Nature is the first whore, for she has given herself over to everything that lives so that life may continue. Every spring, our great mother, the Whore, spreads herself open — swollen buds splitting apart, wet petals spreading wide, roots pushing deep into dark earth, every living thing throbbing with the shameless drive to merge, to multiply, to feel. Nature doesn't blush.

Flora was never a goddess of the refined. Flora belonged to the people — to the flesh, the soil, the sweat.

In ancient Rome, the Floralia stood in stark contrast to the solemn religious Roman festivals. Much like the Bacchanal, Floralia was characterized by theatrical performances, games, flower throwing, colorful clothing, and ecstatic sexual revelry. The devotees of Flora knew that the body is holy, that pleasure is prayer, and that desire — raw, blooming, overflowing desire — is the most divine force in the universe. The meretrices, Rome's sacred prostitutes, danced naked through torch-lit streets as living altars to Flora's gifts. There was no shame in their movement. Only devotion.

On April 25th, Temple Night NYC opens the temple of Flora. We will anoint ourselves in flowers, breathe open our bodies, and let erotic energy rise through us like sap through a tree in spring — slow, inevitable, unstoppable. We will remember together that our hunger is not something to be managed or hidden. It is something to be worshipped. That the moisture, the heat, the ache of wanting — this is the goddess moving through you.

Temple Night NYC invites you to reclaim the ancient rites of sacred sexuality, where pleasure is worship, and vulnerability is power.

This is a container for all genders to honor, embody, and reclaim their erotic energy. Expect chanting, breathwork, sensual activation, golden light rituals, slutty oracle messages, and a delicious solar feast. Clothing is optional, consent is essential, and all parts of you are welcome.

The Temple Ceremony will begin at about 9:30pm and conclude around Midnight at which time the space opens up to free play/social time.

🔸 Opening Cacao Ceremony – We will begin the evening with a heart opening cacao elixir and meditation as we set our intentions for the evening.

🔸 Tantric “Playshops” – Experience the transformative energy of the Sacred Marriage of your inner Yin and Yang energies through tantric touch, breath-work, and intimate partner connection.

🔸 Closing Integration Circle – Ground the experience through communal reflection and ritual closing of the temple gates.

🔸 Free Play – Social Time – The Temple will be open with different themed areas for all levels of desire.

Dress Code:

For Floralia, we invite you to wear your most sensual, erotic interpretation of spring — think flowing silks and sheer linens, floral crowns woven into your hair, skin adorned with petals, gold, and oil. The Romans of Floralia dressed in vivid, multicolored garments — a deliberate break from Rome's usual white togas — so bring color, bring texture, bring boldness. Flower garlands, bare shoulders, draped fabrics that suggest more than they conceal. Body jewelry, golden sandals, kohl-lined eyes. Come as a devotee of Flora — lush, adorned, and unashamed. The temple welcomes every body, and the only dress code is this: wear something that makes you feel beautiful, alive, and ready to bloom.

Note: Stay authentic to your personal style while honoring the sacred and sensual vibe of the evening.

Please avoid street clothing, jeans, or casual wear. This is a curated event, and guests dressed inappropriately may be turned away.

Our trauma-informed guides and staff guardians are here to hold space with care and sensitivity. We ask that you join us in co-creating a brave space—one where we each take responsibility for managing our triggers and regulating our nervous systems. For those who may feel overstimulated, we offer a Low Stimulation Room as a place to ground and center. Additionally, neutral social spaces are available outside the ceremony should you wish to step away and reconnect at your own pace.
