Tension NYC is part of The Sanctuary Sessions, hosted at The Sanctuary of East Harlem. This is an inclusive, rope-centered gathering for all genders and orientations to explore connection, creativity, and full-scene rope play in a consent-forward environment.

If you’ve ever felt rope speak between bodies — trust built strand by strand, breath by breath — you already know the magic this space offers. Here, rope is intention. Play is connection. Every knot and strand can become its own conversation.

WHAT TO EXPECT

2:00 PM | Doors Open

Arrive, settle in, and feel the energy of the room. This is your chance to connect, orient yourself to the space, and meet others.

3:00 PM | Doors Close | Boundaries & Intentions

All participants should arrive by this time. We gather briefly to set intentions, review consent practices, and hold the container for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.

3:15 PM – 7:00 PM | Rope-Focused Play Party

The floor opens for immersive rope experiences. Engage in creative, sensual, erotic, or power-based dynamics, solo, partnered, or in groups — all clearly negotiated and consented. Scenes, explorations, and playful experimentation are encouraged.

Whether stepping into your first scene or crafting an extended rope experience, this is your space to connect, create, and explore.

Those new to rope can find some instruction and learn the basics and essentials of rope or observe scenes happening.

Wrap-Up & Aftercare

Before heading home, take a moment to check in with partners, give or receive aftercare, and integrate your experience in a gentle closing space.
