Tension NYC is a rope-centered gathering at The Sanctuary of East Harlem — created for people who want intentional rope play without the rigid structure of the just rope and play later format.

If you want to arrive and dive straight into a full rope scene, you can.

If you want space to explore, practice, and build connection through rope, there’s room for that too.

No performances. No expectations.

Just people, rope, and the connections that form when both are handled with intention.

WHAT TO EXPECT

3:00 PM | Doors Open

• Arrive, settle in, and connect with the room.

4:00 PM | Rules & Consent Agreements

Welcome Circle + Agreements Review

• We arrive together, introduce ourselves, and review consent practices, shared agreements, and house rules.

4:15 - 8:00 PM | Open Rope Practices and Play

• Floor work, suspension, full scenes, sensual ties, creative exploration, and negotiated power

exchange.

Go light. Go deep. Negotiate clearly and play fully.

The Sanctuary of East Harlem is a members-based space, and Tension NYC is shaped by the values and culture of our community — care, intention, and accountability. Membership isn’t required to attend, but joining allows you to engage more deeply, access discounted events and participate in our weekly online room, Conscious Conversartions, for free.
