Tension NYC is a rope play party for those who want more than just practice space. This is a room where rope is at the center, full scenes are encouraged, and play can extend into impact, sensation, bondage, and other forms of consensual exploration.

Whether you come with a partner or attend solo, Tension offers a warm, social, erotic, and play-minded environment for those who want to tie, connect, negotiate, and engage.

Open to all genders and orientations, this is not a class-based event. Light peer guidance and basic instruction may happen naturally in the room, but the focus is on self-led play and scenes.

Pickup play is welcome, with attendees expected to negotiate for themselves.

What to Expect

3 PM | Doors Open

Arrive, settle in, and connect with the room.

4 PM | Rules + Consent Agreements

We gather briefly to go over the rules, agreements, and flow of the event.

4:30 PM | Rope and Scenes Open

Once the room is opened, attendees are free to tie, negotiate, play, and explore at their own pace.

8 PM | Party Ends

• A warm, social, rope-forward atmosphere

• Energetic beats and lighting set to support the room

• Space for floor rope, with mats available

• 2 hard points and 1 suspension rig

• Furnished with a St. Andrew’s Cross, spanking benches, tieable benches, and floor beds

What to Bring

• Rope & Safety shears, implements, toys, gear, or sensory/comfort items you plan to use.
• A shareable snack or drink is always welcome at the communal snack table
• Alcohol is welcome in moderation only. No drugs.

Tension is held by The Kink Collective facilitators and grounded in our philosophy of People Before Kink — creating a space where consent, clarity, and care are prioritized, and where exploration is supported rather than pushed.
