The Backrooms - a Play Party for Trans Masculine Kinksters and Their Guests

Calling all transmasculine kinksters and their guests!

A play party by transmasculine people for transmasculine people, where transmasculine attendees are the focus–not an afterthought. We celebrate the diversity of transmasculine bodies and the many ways of being transmasculine, and explicitly affirm the identities of trans men as men. We aim to create a “men’s party” atmosphere that feels comfortable, safe, and welcoming to transmasculine attendees and their guests. We are firmly against the use of any fetishizing language or imagery within this event space.

Attendee and Guest Policy

Anyone who identifies as a trans man, trans guy, trans boy/boi, transmasculine, transmasc/trans masc, FTM, masc-of-center, or AFAB-non-binary is welcome to attend. Gender expansive people who self-identify with any of the aforementioned identities for the purposes of the party are welcome. Transmasculine attendees are limited to one (1) non-transmasculine guest. Guests must enter at the door with their attendee.

COVID-19

Proof of a negative COVID-19 test (such as a labelled picture of your result) is required to be shown at the door prior to the party. Please test within 24 hours in advance of the party to streamline the check-in process for everyone. Tests may be purchased and taken at the door if needed. Masking is not required, but participants are encouraged to do so.

Pricing Model

Tickets for all attendees begin at $15 online, and $20 at the door. NOTAFLOF, $0 admission is available to anyone who cannot afford a ticket (with priority going to BIPOC attendees and guests) volunteering is not required, email sfbackroombros@gmail.com at least 24 hours in advance. Sliding scale donations, intended to help provide access to those who cannot otherwise afford a ticket, are accepted in amounts up to $100. Volunteers are given a 50% discount code, or NOTAFLOF ticket, please email sfbackroombros@gmail.com to volunteer!

Accessibility Information

Our venue, Transform1060, has five steps inside the door down to the front desk and main play area. There is an additional set of stairs leading up to the locker room and quiet area. The downstairs bathroom is fairly large and has two toilets next to each other, but is not ADA compliant, as it has no handles and the sink is too high. The lockers and quiet room are up a flight of stairs. There are accessible lockers downstairs by the front desk, however they do not lock.
