The Village Heart: An Afternoon of Authentic Connection

You are invited to join us for an afternoon of heart-to-heart connection, where we go beyond surface level conversations and dive into the essence of our shared humanity.

Whether you are seeking to make new friendships, deepen existing relationships, or just explore new ways of connecting, The Village Heart offers a space for curiosity and exploration.

Here’s what you can expect:

Guided Connection Activities:

These include partner exercises and group activities that encourage meaningful interactions and new ways of relating to one another.

Opportunities to Explore and Stretch Comfort Zones:

Whether you are sharing, listening or engaging in somatic practices, every exercise is an invitation to stretch just beyond your comfort zone in a safe and supportive environment. Each participant is free to choose their level of engagement at all times and opt out of any exercise.

Reflective Sharing and Group Dynamics:

We’ll explore different ways of connecting in small groups or pairs, always with the invitation to speak from the present moment and lean into what's authentically true for you.

Together we’ll enrich our capacity for honest expression as we build a sense of safety in community.

Come as you are, challenge yourself by choice, and leave feeling understood, inspired, and a part of something truly special.

We hope you will join us!

Tamara Vodovoz - Originally from Colombia, Tamara’s path began in Veterinary Medicine and led her to UC Davis, where she earned a master’s and Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Comparative Pathology. Alongside her scientific pursuits, she has been a devoted yoga practitioner since her teens and a teacher for over 12 years. Her classes weave together anatomy-based insight with holistic practices—myofascial release, nervous system regulation, and self-massage—to support embodied well-being. Also a passionate student of Thai Massage since 2010, Tamara integrates the spirit of Metta (loving-kindness) into her work to foster healing and connection. Tamara’s journey bridges science and spirituality, inspiring others to reconnect with themselves and the greater web of life.
