Torment of Lacing with hua hua

Join hua hua (Shanghai/London) for Torment of Lacing as part of her residency at VoxBody! Find all her VoxBody event offerings on the calendar here OCT 11-19.

In this workshop we will be studying “Mitsunawa” (dense rope), a method of rope where the whole body is laced up head to toe inspired by hua hua’s teacher Naka Akira. We will be exploring the presence of Semenawa through a maximal approach, immobilising the whole body with a slow progression.

hua hua will share the risks of this tie, how to make it more sustainable for longer play and how to adapt the lacing to suit the model’s body.

Prerequisites:

* Riggers must be comfortable tying a 2 rope Gote, and have experience with suspension with Gote Shibari. They should also have clear communication with the model in the ropes and be aware of the common risks of being in rope bondage for an extended time.

* Bottoms must have an interest in heavy bondage, and ideally interested in Semenawa. They should also be able to sustain being in a Gote for an extended time and have experience with at least partial suspension.

* hua hua requests that there is no switching in her classes.

Materials needed:

* Every tying pair will have a bamboo suspension point.

* As many ropes as possible! Minimum 10 ropes

* Optional: Tenugui/bandana/small cloth for bottoms with very little body fat
