Trance Lab 102: Hypnotic Toolkit

You’ve started your hypnotic journey and know what hypnokink is, so you're ready for the next step: techniques for how to do hypnokink.

This class introduces a few core concepts that can be applied to both inducing trance and doing hypnotic changework (“suggestions.”)

Topics covered include Anchors, Yes Sets, Fractionation, and more! As always, we are focused on specific skills, clear outcomes, and lots of practice. This class contains the minimum lecture to support practicing every technique taught.

The Trance Lab 102 series is designed to be the next step after our 6-hour intensive, but experience with hypnotic suggestions is not necessary. Anyone familiar with the structure of a hypnokink scene will be comfortable. Brand-new beginners are welcome to attend, but we will not be able to offer extra help to beginners. Notably, 102 classes do not cover consent, so we strongly advise you take one of our beginner classes or otherwise educate yourself about consent concerns specific to hypnokink before playing privately.

Regular price tickets are $25. If this is a barrier to you attending, please contact us - we want you there! We aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone can feel comfortable learning and growing. As such, if you need any accommodations so that you can fully enjoy the class, please message us directly.

What to Expect

Much of the workshop is dedicated to "hands-on" practice. You will learn various hypnotic concepts and apply those to going into trance and inducing trance in others. For safety, we will not be giving suggestions in class. Practice takes place in groups of three. One person will be the hypnotist, one will be the subject, and the third will observe. We’ll run each exercise 3 times so that each person experiences all 3 roles. You can always opt out of any exercise at any time - we accept nothing less than enthusiastic consent.

There is a flight of stairs to reach the venue. Doors open at 11:15 - please come early to take your shoes off and get settled. We always aim to start on time! Please note that no one will be let in after our consent agreements, approximately 10 minutes after 11:30am.

Meet the Instructors

MindTop (aka Cabel, he/him), has been teaching hypnosis on and off (mostly) in the Bay Area for almost a decade now. He is into con-non-con, memory play, and coercion. During his free time, you can find him playing board games, learning to cook, and exploring the city.

Resonate (she/her) was introduced to hypnokink in 2017 and immediately realized she'd been doing it her whole life. She is a hypno-switch who tends toward artistic, weird, challenging, and joyful play, with a special interest in power exchange between players of equal status.
