Varying Degrees of Pleasure – Temperature Play is a guided, imaginative conversation that expands temperature play far beyond the usual ice cubes and candle wax. Switchress Shay Au Lait invites participants to explore heat, cold, and everything in between as world-building tools - elements that shape mood, power, intimacy, and sensory immersion.

Together, we will consider temperature as climate, weather, season, and environment. From deserts and volcanoes to foggy coastlines and winter wonderlands, this talk treats temperature play as a full-bodied, creative practice that engages touch, sound, scent, space, and story. Expect prompts, examples, and shared brainstorming designed to deepen how we design scenes, roleplay, rituals, and experiences - both indoors and out.
