VoxBody Vignette: Rope & Life Drawing

It's been so long, but we are finally back with not one but TWO life drawing nights!.....Calling all sketch artists (or curious non-drawing observers!) for our beloved VoxBody Vignette Rope & Life Drawing events on 9/21 and 10/26!

SEPT 21: Ann & Opal

Unravel a different art of restriction and expression with Ann and Opal in an evening of ribbon bondage and life drawing.

Gleam inspiration as satin is transformed into restraint in the hands of a shibari enthusiast.

Through a variety of expressive poses, a combination of natural and studio lighting, explore contrast between the roughness of rope and the tenderness of ribbons on skin.

OCT 26: Blue & Em

Blue and Em will share a sweet, artsy tying session that celebrates Em's pregnancy! We hope you'll join us for this special opportunity to adore and adorn Em and to honor this incredibly special moment in her life! (She'll be in her eighth month of pregancy for this session!)

1. We have limited space available at tables. If you need to assure you have a seat at a table, please email us ahead of time and we can reserve a spot for you!
2. Otherwise, there is plenty of floor seating on puzzle mats with pillows.
3. Bring some wine or tea to sip on and your art supplies!
4. Bring your drawing boards or small easels if you have them (we have none).

Not a sketch artist but curious to come and observe? You are welcome, please register with a ticket to reserve your spot!

Doors open 7pm.

First vignette ~7:15-8:15pm.

Second vignette ~8:35-9:35pm.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS AND MODELS:

Ann (he/him)

Taiwanese shibari enthusiast, rope nerd and switch since joining the community in 2016. Passionate about the connection, sensual erotism, and showing desire in tying. Is currently active as a frequent volunteer, event host, and educator in San Francisco.

Opal (She/her)

Opal explores the language of rope through tune of the sensual feminine. She sees bondage as an art form that allows us to entrust and hold the delicate timbre of life, to reshape it in our own vision. She is an aerialist, rope enthusiast, and visual story teller.

Blue (she/her)

Blue has been teaching and performing rope bondage since 2012. In June 2017, she opened VoxBody Studio, the Bay Area's first rope-dedicated venue. Blue is part of an active rope community in the Bay Area, teaching classes and hosting events regularly and performing at events such as Folsom Street Fair, Twisted Windows and Vau de Vire Society productions. She has also presented at RopeCraft, Bondage Expo Dallas, Desert Bound and Karada House’s QueerRope event. Blue is an enthusiastic sWitch, believes bondage education should address both sides of the rope, and is so proud of the Vox-community. Find her on IG @miss_true_blue.

Em/Amermaidrenegade (she/her)

Em embodies bold and passionate self expression in her artistic endeavors as a model, rope bottom, and vocalist in the SF Bay Area. Emily is deeply committed to advocating for body positive representation and inclusion of individuals with larger bodies and/or disabilities in rope, kink, and artistic communities. Emily is a true Singing Siren eager to share her knowledge and experience as a rope bottom to create community!
