Who's Rope is it Anyway?

Event Details and Overview:

  • Check-In: Doors open at 6:30 PM for check-in / Doors close at 6:50! Event starts at 7 PM and goes until 9 PM.
  • Cost: $40 per participating tying pair / $15 per spectator
  • Prerequisite: This is open to anyone who has taken the Getting Started Class.

This event is designed to be fun and entertaining, with a bit of bragging rights thrown in for good measure.

If you are not familiar with the television show Who's Line is it Anyway, it is one of Renee and my favorite shows. We thought creating an event like this would be fun for the community, but with rope!

Participants in tying pairs will be given fun and challenging tasks that are designed to engage everyone in the fun and frivolity that can only come from these types of events.

Any measure of competition is purely for fun and laughs. Your skill level does not matter; all skill levels can participate as a Top or bottom in this event. Although advanced couples **might** get some additional "complications."

For those of you wondering just what might happen and to allay any concerns, this is what happened at the April event during round 1.

**1. Photo Play:** Top is blindfolded; bottom is given a picture and has to explain how to tie it to the Top.

**2. Upside down Ties:** Your choice, an upside down Futomomo or AFCH upside down, on the butt.

**3. Shorthanded Ties:** Each partner loses one hand and then ties the Hishi.

**4. Tops Design:** Tops are blindfolded and must develop a decorative tie.

**5. Tie One On:** A non-standard item is provided and has to be incorporated into a tie in a fun and innovative way.

**6. Speed Rope Bag:** Top & bottom are blindfolded. Together they must hang their rope bag from a hardpoint. First one done must yell Up!

and more . . .

We hope you will join us for this fun and entertaining event!
