Word Play Party!

This Saturday night, join us at the world's first Word Play, Play Party, where the word play is the foreplay. The main event is a Pun Competition, where witty contestants duke it out making puns on topics such as holidays and what gets you on the naughty list. After the competition and show, the event will become a play-possible party and holiday celebration for the community.

Icebreaking Activities (10:00 PM-11:00 PM)

The evening opens with an icebreaker event where you'll get to know your fellow pun and word play lovers. You'll get to do 1-on-1 and group activities to make sure you know the ins-and-outs of puns.

Prospective competitors should arrive for the foreplay, so they are able to warm up before getting in front the audience.

The Pun-Off Show and Competition (11:15pm-12:15am)

The show will start at 11:15pm and is guaranteed to make you laugh, and very likely to make you groan. Expect a show with fun punformances and a few rounds of competition to see who is crowned the pun champion. The show will be hosted by Eric the MC, who is sometimes a square, aka E=MC². He has competed all across the country from the Punderdome 3000 in Brooklyn, the Pun-Off World Championship in Austin, is bringing competitive punning back to the bay.

Play-Possible Party (12:30 - ?)

After the show, the venue will transition to a play-possible space. Stay just to pun and hang out, or have fun however you please. There will be tea lounge and a chill out room downstairs. Consent and house guidelines will be shared at the door and refreshed after the show.

Wear whatever fun artsy thing that makes you feel authentic and comfortable! there is bag storage and changing area available. Event takes place at the Kink Store in SoMa (226 6th st). This is a space rooted in respect, care, mutual responsibility, and celebration and this a community run event, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
