Today, more than ever, Plura is committed to building a platform that empowers countercultural and sex-positive people to organize, meet, and belong.
 
As part of our mission, we have built a ticketing system that will allow you to sell tickets without the fear of being censored or banned. Thank you for signing up to the waitlist. 
 
We are rolling this out slowly and would like to invite you to try it out! Log into your Event Management System (plra.io/manage) and click “Sell Tickets”.

Why Ticketing?

In 2021 Luna designed Plura (then: Bloom Community) with the promise of creating a safe home for counterculture organizers to promote their events and engage with their communities. Today, we believe that we're acting on this promise, with more than 20,000 people RSVPing to events every month and discovering munches, workshops, poly happy hours, rope jams, dance classes, and more.

This year, we realized that if we truly want to create a “safe home” for organizers, we must build far more than an event discovery platform, because in today's environment, organizers are censored and shadow-banned not only on IG/Facebook but also on their ticketing platforms, payment systems, online shops, email marketing systems, and more.

Today, We’re excited to launch Plura Ticketing and allow organizers to collect money and manage their events directly on Plura. The system is fairly self-explanatory, so go ahead and try it out, but below you can find some quick FAQs for you. We are excited to take the next step towards realizing our mission and invite you to join us in building a platform that empowers countercultural and sex-positive communities.

  3. Do people need the Plura app to buy tickets?

    Nope! Every event has a web-ticketing page (click this link on your web browser to view web ticketing), allowing people to buy tickets without the app. Every ticket purchase results in an email confirmation. If your ticket holders have the Plura app, they will also see the ticket in the app as well.

  4. When I sell tickets on Plura, what information do I get for every ticket sold?

    For every ticket you sell, we capture the name and email address of the member. You can download this list as CSV. Soon, you can create ticket forms and collect additional information during checkout. 

  5. How do I get paid?

    Plura will invite you to add your bank account information through Brex. Once your event is completed, Plura will send you the funds within 7-10 business days. I'd love to hear if this doesn't work for you. 

  6. How much does it cost to sell tickets on Plura? Do I need to be a Plura+ member?

    Selling tickets on Plura is free. Approved organizers can post events and sell tickets at no cost! There is no requirement to be a paying Plura member to post events or sell tickets.

  7. Does Plura take a revenue share from my collected revenue?

    No. You get 100% of ticketing revenue collected on Plura. Plura charges ticket buyers processing and ticketing fees on top of the ticket price.

  8. Can I continue listing my event on Plura and sell tickets on other platforms?

    Yes.

  9. How do I get my event spotlighted on Plura’s email newsletter?

    To get your event spotlighted on Plura’s channels (app spotlight, and event newsletter) we ask that you offer a discount to Plura’s premium members (Plura+ Members) of 20% (up to $10 discount). We've found that this leads to incremental revenue, but invite you to try it out yourself. 

  10. Tell me more about the Bonus!

    Because we are just getting started with our ticketing system, we want to compensate you for being on this “building the airplane in the air” ride with us. For the first 90 days of selling tickets, we will reward you with $2 per paid ticket sold on Plura.

  11. I have thoughts on future features. Also I have feelings and opinions. Where should I direct them?

  12. Are there any restrictions on the kinds of events I can sell tickets to?

    Events are required to adhere to Plura's Terms of Use and Organizers terms and conditions
